Catalyst is a two-player video game in which one player inhabits a church and the other a stock market. Both players have the same objectives but see them through different ideological lenses. In a race to power, each player gradually takes over the other’s space by corrupting the environment. Players can possess non-player characters, objects and technology in order to act from “within” and move through the space as an entity – an infiltration that can be understood as corruption itself.
