Does anybody know what it is and how to obtain it?

Hi, really enjoying the game and it's great. It plays amazing, runs smooth, looks pretty. However my GPU is at 90% - 100% constantly from the game. Enabling Vsync was the only option that helped, making it stay more towards 90% rather than being at 100% constantly. The game does look pretty, but I really shouldn't be heating my house just from playing this game. I'm fine if you give me options that make it look like crap, just don't fry my GPU plz. I am a relatively intelligent person and have been playing video games for decades and I really want to like this game but I cannot figure it out. Is there a guide (preferably text) somewhere that explains exactly how to play and what is happening in the game? The "tutorial" helps a little bit with the basics but I don't know what shockwaves are and when and why the come, I can't figure out why all of a sudden when you place a coral, several other corals appear. I've been starting from the Hexagonal Region gamemode, and I've gotten to 300 pts without losing any coral to the shockwave at least 5 times, but it just has not unlocked? I would like to be able to play the random region gamemode. Maybe I'll try reinstalling the game....
