I like the game but sadly can't play anymore. This game imo has excessive screenshalking and screen jumping which cause me to feel very bad and my head begin spinning literally. I didn't find the option to disable screenshaking and the support totally ignored me and my question. Not recommended if any of screenshaking make you uncomfortable.

Okay, so after around 370 hours in this game, I can finally say that I recommend this game. Even though people probably won't see this, I just want to express my love of this game. This is coming from someone who has no other knowledge of the Project Moon universe, so you may call my opinion invalid, so do what you want with my yapfest of a review. Look at the bottom for a TLDR.

Story -- I finished the main story at around 270 hours, and I can say that the story is amazing. The game starts off slow, and has a not so great tutorial, but after that (not really canto 2) the story gets great. Overall, one of the best stories I have seen in any game. In the future cantos, you realize that the main sinners are not just one dimensional characters, but real people with character development. Personally, my favorite canto was canto 7. I don't know why, but the story here really connected with me, and the ending made the entire canto. Since I don't know where else to put this, I'll say it here. All of the Sinners are based on classical works of literature, and their story reflects that. For example, one of the Sinners, Ishmael, has a canto based on revenge. If you have read Moby ♥♥♥♥, you know that revenge is also a major theme there as well.

Gameplay/Gambling -- One thing you should know before playing is that this game is mainly a VISUAL NOVEL!!! In the main story, you will be reading quite a lot! If you don't feel like reading this review a bit much, you may not like this game a lot.

Another thing you should know is that this game is also a gacha game. Which means... GAMBLING!!! LOTS OF IT! You get the gacha currency from doing the story or the weekly mirror dungeons. Even though this game is a gacha, you can get all units for free from egoshards. This currency is gotten from events and the battle pass. You can grind the mirror dungeon for battle pass exp, and you DON'T NEED TO BUY IT! I HAVE BEAT THE GAME WITHOUT SPENDING A DOLLAR! I'm not one to know about gatch rates compared to other games, so don't ask me. For more explanation, watch a video or something. IDK.

Gambling aside, the combat system itself is pretty complex compared to other gacha games. I would recommend watching a tutorial to understand it, but the main thing you need to know is to READ. I'm not going to explain the whole thing, so I will just explain the major road blocks in MY playthrough. In canto 4, there was one boss that eventually turned your ID's against you, and that boss made me quit the game for about a month. I came back once I realized that I needed to READ. Once I read their kit, I was able to beat the boss easily. This is the first reality check you get in the game, and it really forces you to READ. Later on in canto 5, you face up against the HARDEST boss in the game. This boss for me just required lots of trial and error. Not much tips here.

One main thing about this game that I love is the team building. This part of the game is one that isn't as complex as the rest. The main thing is that you will usually be building around a status effect. Compared to other gacha games, the leveling is very simple. There are three main things you need to do to get a GOOD leveled ID. You need to level up the ID level, uptie, and threadspin E.G.O. Uptie unlocks passives and the 3rd skill, and E.G.O. just gets better.

Endgame Content -- In the endgame, there isn't too much content except the hard version of the mirror dungeon which is just a harder version of the roguelike mode already provided. Not much to say here about that. There is also another mode called Refraction Railway, which is like a boss rush of sorts. The main goal of this mode is to minimize the amount of turns you can beat it in. Overall, the endgame content is pretty underwhelming compared to the absolute BANGER of a main story.


TLDR -- Limbus Company is a very good game that requires a big investment of time if you want to play. The story is long, but good. The game is mainly a visual novel that means you need to read a lot. This is a gacha game that is very free to play friendly. Complex combat in the beginning that gets easier the more you read. Simple leveling mechanics. And a Disappointing endgame.
