Having played this game for a fair bit of time, here is my honest opinion on where the game's at.
Overall I'd say that it is worth buying, contrary to a lot of other reviews. Graphics are amazing, licensing is great, and team customization is INCREDIBLE. I've already spent a lot of time recreating my team in the game as well as the stadium and kits. However, I definitely wouldn't say the game is done. There are still some gameplay features which really hold the game back. For example, if you are tackled over the tryline, it will always register as held up, even if the tackler is all the way down at the ankles. Defense is also ridiculously difficult on harder game modes as it's almost impossible to take the ball from the ruck, making the game super reliant on interceptions, which isn't very realistic. Also, in things like stadium editor, there are simple features missing like the ability to delete items. I honestly think if the devs can sort these issues out, the game would be incredible.
My main note to back the whole community would be to not make another rugby game next year, and the year after, but to keep working at this one to make it really good.
I would recommend buying this game, as it is getting better, but these are just things to take into account. Hope this helped !
