The Demo Keeps Freezing?

Whenever I leave the apartment mail room after fixing the boiler, my game freezes/stops responding. It varies exactly where, but I haven't gotten past the drunkard. I've restarted my computer, closed background apps, and I'm running on Windows 10 or up. Any ideas?...
