Time for another development update — and this one is a big step toward bringing more life (and chaos) into your tabletop shop!

We’ve been working on the employee system, and we’re excited to share the first fully functional behaviors that are now prototyped and being polished.

Let’s dive in!

Your store is no longer a one-person operation!
Employees can now:

They’ll take care of customers so you can focus on managing the store.

Spilled drinks, crumbs, sweat marks, chaos — they’ll take care of it before customers complain.

Because some visitors… really need it.
Employees will automatically deodorize overly stinky customers to keep the shop atmosphere fresh.

Deliveries piling up? Employees can neatly arrange them in the backroom.

Workers can restock your products, freeing up your time for strategy and layout work.

These behaviors are already running in development builds and will be refined with better animations, smarter decision-making, and more personality soon.

We’ve designed a brand-new mini-game built around unique mechanics that let you craft your very own board games from scratch.

You’ll gather components, assemble pieces, and bring your custom creation to life right inside your shop.

And yes — those games can be sold or used to draw more players to your tables.
📘 Tutorial System in Progress

We’re building a step-by-step tutorial, showing:

• How to craft your first board game

• How to test it

• How the quality system works

• How board games affect customer behavior and store popularity

The goal is to help new players understand these deeper mechanics without feeling overwhelmed.

Once employees, crafting, and the tutorial systems pass internal stability tests, we will officially prepare the public Playtest announcement.

Today we’re excited to give you a sneak peek at one of the big systems we’ve been working on:
🎲 Crafting your own board games inside your shop!

This new feature lets you gather components, design gameplay elements, and assemble unique board games that you can use to attract more players and encourage longer play sessions in your store. Players who stay longer will bring more life to your shop — and more income!

But that’s not all. Alongside the board game creation system, several new mechanics are currently in development:

Collect components, design the layout, assemble pieces, and produce your own custom board games.

Well-crafted games will draw more customers to your shop, increasing activity and play sessions.

You can also put your creations on the shelf and sell them to customers for extra profit.

Customers will now spend money at your vending machines, giving you an additional passive income stream.

Players leave behind dirty tables, spilled snacks, sweat marks, and random junk on the floor.
You’ll need to clean up to keep your shop tidy and maintain good customer feedback.

These systems are currently in active development, and we aim to include them in an upcoming build.
We’ll share more detailed breakdowns soon — including how crafting works step-by-step, how game quality affects customer behavior, and how your handmade games integrate with the shop economy.
