🔥 HOT: App/ - Complete Album!

I love the setting menu, I love the glyphs, I understand nothing and I love it. UI updates may have happened since release but this game is INTUITIVE to me. I just want to upgrade blue hat and purple horse shoe more, so much more.

I'd like to start out by saying, at it's core, it's a fun twist on the roguelite bullet hell genre.

That said, there are many design choices that really hamper my enthusiasm, and not because of how the core gameplay is, but how it just makes it less enjoyable to play and explore the possible build diversity. The reason for this is, there is no text for pretty much anything in the game. None. The options menu, the skill tree board, your weapons, nothing other than some numbers, that don't even have what unit of measure they're in. (the delay on firing a weapon appears to be in seconds, but I'm still not sure of that.

Worse, the color yellow....

EVERYTHING is yellow.
Your character.
The gameboard.
Your attacks/spells.
Explosions.
EXP/Money pickups.

And it's the exact same shade of yellow - just slightly less brighter than our sun. After 20 minutes my eyes start to feel fatigued, both by the color choice, and the inability to discern the different things happening on the screen from one another. Kill an enemy, a yellow swirly thing flys around you - cool, except I can't tell if it's money following me, or an enemy. Shoot a weapon. Not sure it's an enemy or my own attack..... All yellow, all the same yellow.

There is one colored thing of note - your health bubble above your character... It's red, and eyecatching, and it's what you'll likely start to perceive as your character when things get frantic - You'll start to track it with your eyes to dodge the yellow all around you - too bad, it's not your hitbox - that's below, and worse, to the left of your hp bubble, making you have to search for your character in the sea of urine colored bliss.

The enemies - in a lot of bullet hells, they have spawns that if you're careful, you can avoid trapping yourself. You'll find a hole to fit through by doubling back sometimes.

Not here.

They spawn seemingly whatever direction your facing, and behind simultaneously... and when your finally getting a bead on them, a wave of 3x as fast enemies start spawning to get to you before you break out of the ring of death.

And, they always seem to be in the way of wherever you're going - need a node - they're already there because you ran from there to keep out of the pincer attack.... but you have no where to goto, they're everywhere.

Lastly, as was firstly, the icons have no text for skill points. While some are industry regulars (sword for attack, fist for strength, wizard hat for intellect, lightning bolt, fire, snowflake, and such), the rest are just weird - there's like a blue door-ish thing? A pink thing that looks kinda like diglet if you squint, 3 stars thing, then there's 3 swords, red, grey, and bluegreen... and those are just the common perk points - not the major nodes with the hieroglyphs.

So, yeah, it could be a really good game, but man, is it ever frustratingly flawed, in my opinion, on design choices that to me make 0 sense - I get you like the monochrome aesthetic, but this is not the type of game that works well with. Do us, and yourself a favor, and forego the art project, for game design, respectfully.
