Crit Happens! Demo Update Notes (March 3)

This new update offers quite a big change to how turns are approached. Trinkets are no longer cycled through at random, instead they are manually selected. Trinkets themselves haven't been rebalanced to reflect this change yet, but feedback would be appreciated all the same. I'm still not happy with the current trinket system, so expect more changes soon.

New

You can now switch your active trinket during your turn.
When you use a trinket it is now sent to a discard pile until all trinkets have been used up.
You can now skip the reward screen animation.

Fixes

Fixed a bug where the order a controller would switch between dice would not reflect their positions after undoing a dice hold.
Fixed a bug where a combination of the potion bomb relic and the ice dice could trigger a soft-lock.

You can now "undo" dice holds, as long as you've not rolled again since holding.

Fixed a bug where the red bolt relic would cause a soft-lock when paralysis procced on a mimic.

Fixed a bug where the sword dice would initially be displayed as a bomb dice when crafting at a campfire.

*I've received numerous requests for a way to unhold dice that were accidentally held. I'm working on an update that will allow you to "undo" your last held dice as long as you haven't rolled again since. Expect this update within the next two days!

Demo Feedback

An easy demo that shows the core mechanics. Too much reading in the beginning. I found the game fairly intuitive with great UI. I wish there was more to play. Feels like a clone of peglin but just with dice. Not bad, not great, not super compelling. Fun little demo all in all....

Great demo! Strong Peglin vibes, but with a unique gameplay mechanic and rotating trinket system. Was an interesting choice to allow healing or gold after each fight, with access to the shop at any time between levels. I definitely want to do a few more runs and have added to my wishlist!...
