Implemented optimizations to the chunk manager which could have resulted in hitching when deep underground moving around.

Drilling down feels slow

Even using railgun to shoot down to travel down is faster, i think fixing this by making drill upgrades have couple more range to able to drill without needing have contact with blocks to drill can be helpful. But flying upward and drilling upward is x2 times faster lol....

Get ready to traverse your mines faster than ever! This update brings a massive quality-of-life upgrade to your digging operations with the highly requested Placeable Elevator, alongside a major tweak to enemy spawns for a more rewarding exploration experience.

🌟 Major Feature: Placeable Elevators

You can now build a fast, reliable vertical transit system right in your mines!

How It Works

Purchase: Pick up an Elevator from Bill's Shop for 10,000 coins.
Placement: Equip it in your hotbar and place it underground just like any other block or background.
Smart Routing: Cables automatically extend upward, stopping perfectly at the first solid tile or the surface (fully accounting for player headroom).
Riding: Simply step onto the platform and interact to ride up or down. Need to bail early? Just walk off the platform at any time to dismount mid-travel.

Immersive Details & Mechanics

Seamless Entry: Features one-way platform collision—walk right onto the elevator from any direction without needing to jump.
Industrial Polish: Enjoy alternating cable visuals, mechanical sparks from the top of the moving car, and custom movement audio for a highly satisfying ride.

🛡️ Combat & Exploration: Permanent Enemy Defeats

To complement your new vertical mobility, we've made exploring your mines much more rewarding and permanent.

No More Respawning: Enemies you defeat will no longer reappear when you revisit an area. Once you clear a cavern, it stays safe for the rest of your run.
Universal Change: This applies to all enemy types across both Earth and Moon worlds (Bato, Weak, Rocky, Medium, Fleeing, Grok, Space Monkey, and Coldsnap).
Saved Progress: Defeated enemy status is fully tracked. The caverns you clear stay empty even after saving and reloading.
Fresh Starts: Starting a brand new run will fully repopulate the world with enemies as expected.
