Hello everybody!

Just a few weeks ago, we publicly announced that we are working on Bel's Fanfare, and we have some exciting news to share, but first we want to introduce you to this project that is so special to us.

“That means something to you.”

This quote is taken from one of the recent interviews (in Spanish) with the directors of this project, the extremely talented Caro Waro and Garbunka.

Bel's Fanfare is being built from the ground up with great attention to detail. Sounds a bit obvious, right? But reality is that all Chibig games have a strong narrative focus, and we believe Bel's Fanfare is taking it to a whole new level.

We not only want to immerse players completely in its story and setting, but we also want to provoke many deep emotions in them.

We want you to feel that it has touched a part of you and that you have truly connected with this fantastic journey when you finish playing it.

Of course, the inspiration

To achieve this, as fans and developers, we have drawn inspiration (a lot of inspiration, actually) mainly from classic games such as Zelda, Undertale, and Spirited Away (Studio Ghibli).

It's impossible not to think of games like Majora's Mask or Twilight Princess and the great moments they gave us and the emotions they stirred in us a few decades ago (ugh, feeling old now).

And, like the rest of Chibig's games, one of the Ghibli films has paved the way for us to build the perfect setting for all this to happen: the wonder between the mundane and the fantastic presented in Spirited Away.

Once again, following the team's tradition, Bel's Fanfare is launching its Kickstarter campaign today so that anyone who discovers this game and wants to support it can help make it a reality.

Saw the ad. Looks great, but I'm curious about consultancy groups.

Specifically, did you use any? If so, were they hired to doctor the writing? I'll put my cards out on the table here: I've had some bad luck supporting new games from Western studios. For every Expedition 33, I've had 2 or 3 real duds. I've started avoiding a lot of them. The worst in recent memory for me was Eternal Strands, which had so many sensitivity readings and consultancy group sessions that the final product's writing was left banal beyond description. I didn't like the new Zeldas. Honestly, I never finished Breath of the Wild and completely missed Tears of the kingdom. I felt Nintendo had lost Zelda's personality and found it quite soulless. That "Zelda wonder" I felt last time I played twilight princess years ago had gone. This game however, just by the trailer (and the ads), made feel that "Zelda wonder" again. I hope this succeeds. I look forward to it. Will definitely buy once it comes out. If it's good, you guys will gain a fan for life. ːtabbyc...

Very Interested and Game looks SICK!!! <3

Just saw your posts Yesterday and instantly fell in love with the vibe. Very reminiscent of the 3D Zelda games. Feels like a great mix of Skyward Sword, Link Between Two Worlds and of course Majoras Mask. But there's also so much here. Having grown up on the 3Ds and Wii this will certainly be a treat to play once it comes out. I wish you guys a successful Kickstarter. Good luck and keep up the good work!...
