• Now the “Ghostly Dust” item for the quest “The Ethereal Reckoning” will be dropped also from the “Ghost” enemy.
  
• Reviewed some text during character creation, indicating Single Player Campaign as main mode and Competitive Campaign as alternative mode
  
• Change handling of corrupted/unreadable save files, they will now be displayed in the save list and upon load attempts will prompt an information message.
  
• Changed the current location info in the top right corner to remove empty lines when it does not present a subzone name.
  
• Rebalanced all the weapons in the following categories: Battleaxes, Daggers, Great Battleaxes, Halberds, Spears, Throwable weapons and Bows.

• Fixed issue with death in Hardcore Mode creating copies of unequipped items from the player’s original starter set, leading to an accumulation of irremovable items in inventory; save affected by this issue will remove extra copies of such items in inventory upon next load.
  
• Fixed edge case where “Captain Vexx” could remain unkillable indefinitely making impossible to clear the FA.
  
• Fixed Spear Proficiency being assigned the same passive effects as the Halberd Proficiency, it will now apply its own set of effects as intended.
  
• Fixed instances of Vorastel’s minigame messages not closing upon surrendering or leaving a match.
  
• “Mirror of Glamour” trinket now grants Ice Resistance instead of Ice Chance, as originally intended.
  
• Fixed misc text typos.
  
• Improved localization for community based languages.
  
• Minor fixes granting better performances on potato hardware.

Hello Champions!

We’re excited to finally unveil Balefire, Update 1.2 for Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms. As you know, throughout the year we’ve alternated content-heavy updates with patches focused on revamping systems and adding features requested by the community. Balefire sits right in the middle: a wealth of new things to play through, while also laying new foundations for what’s coming next.


The core of Balefire is claiming Aethrakar, a single, dangeours FA designed as a relentless gauntlet of challenges. Just pure, brutal, fights through one of the harshest trials ever introduced in Alaloth. But this is not just a gauntlet. It is the stage for a new piece of lore linking elves, orcs, and an ancient threat long thought forgotten. When the Tempest tore through Plamen, its cataclysmic surge awakened something buried for ages, an ancient evil sealed away by an unlikely alliance of elven wardens and orcish shamans. The seal that kept this force dormant was bound to an old temple lost to time. No maps remembered it, no chronicles mentioned its name.
But with the Tempest’s upheaval, the temple has reappeared, torn from the shadows and pulled violently back into Plamen. A cursed domain forged by the ancient demon now clawing its way back into the world. A new questline than, a new ancient demon, a unique and terrifying foe to fight!


Among the new additions you’ll also find Ironbrand Watch, a location that is far more than it first appears. It’s a gateway, the very first piece of Alaloth’s first DLC. We’ve been working on it for a while, but it’s not time for an official announcement yet. We want the right stage for that.
Still, we can reiterate what we hinted at before: Alaloth’s world will continue to grow, and 2026 is shaping up to be a big year.


Some time ago we also mentioned a possible console version, which we had initially hoped to release in 2025. But making games is far more complex than it might look from the outside, and in the meantime we’ve been taking important steps to secure the best possible future for a world and an IP we deeply care about. Even with a short holiday break incoming, December will be a busy month of work, setting us up to hit the ground running in the new year.

So what can you expect going forward?

• A large batch of extra contents
  
• A full DLC with a massive campaign
  
• The console version
