ABOUT Blade Symphony Christmas Tournam

Blade Symphony Christmas Tournament (over, Ichmag won)

A last tournament before the year's end, to celebrate once again a year of the existence of Blade Symphony.

It's being held 30-12-2015 (dd/mm) at 21:00 (9 PM) CET - 14:00 (2 PM) CST - 20:00 (8 PM) GMT.

The tournament will follow a bracket made by Challonge, and we will be playing by the single elimination rules*.

THE BRACKET: http://challonge.com/BSChristmas2015

The server will be Fug's Teahouse (uk).

The map that we will play on is a custom (for this tournament) made map by Lunik called duel_void

Rules

1 - Trolling is an immediate kick from server and tournament.

2 - N1 (the act of playing overly passive) is to be avoided as much as possible, this will be counteracted by making the participants fight to the death. Which brings me to rule #3.

3 - A draw is not allowed, a match will be fought until 1 of either players has won 2 rounds.

*: Single elimination

A single elimination tournament means that once you have lost you are permanently eliminated from the tournament.

Blade Symphony F2P soon!
Feedback Please :D
Communications/Management
-Maybe consider going back to Steam chat (Steam chat has no notifications though)
-Big issue was that people would have different names in Discord vs Steam (30 min roll call was intended to mitigate this)
-Need to let people know more than one hour in advance to join Discord
-Need to perform a roll call earlier than 30 mins before the tournament (1 hour? 2 hours?)
-Because of so many absences, a lot of bracket changes were taking place quickly and we had no known way to properly manage results for matches where both players were missing.
*Consider using Challonge for sign ups/call outs.

Infrastructure (Server)
-It would be nice to have regional servers to host matches where most folks are within that region (ex- EU, US)
--This one has the complication of people in two different regions (solve by coin flip?)

Stream
+Interviews during stream intermissions was awesome!
-Too many commentators at one time (I read this comment in chat, what do you guys think?)
-Chat ads for groups, discord, and BS Steam page should have been automated.

Thanks to all of you who joined and kept the F L O W going, none of this could have happened without you! :D:
