Clan Goals

Fayt is a new clan with big goals. The end goal of this "clan" if you want to call it that is to popularize The Showdown Effect, and play a key role in making this game popular, competitive, and worth investing time into. I plan to do this in a few ways:

1. Create an ethos where players can unite under one name. I've been calling this ethos, group, clan, whathaveyou "Fayt" because frankly, I think it sounds cool. It is little right now, but so far it is also active. People with a common goal have more reason to play with each other. I want to knit together a community.

2. Create squad based teams from said ethos where friendships will be even tighter. In |F| you will join a squad consisting of four soldiers and a squad leader. There will be many different squads with many different play styles when enough people are participating. Having a more permanent and present team of competetive players will forge friendships and rivalries alike.

3. Organize Matches against other clans, or interclan tournaments, or hell, why not both. learning how to play The Showdown Effect can be fun, and tournaments allow people to show off and teach others the skills they've picked up along the way.

Clan Information

Fayt is a squad based clan, meaning after you join, you will be playing mostly with a squad of capable fighters we think you would go well with. Each squad has a leader who is responsible for the good-conduct and advancement of his squad mates. You are able to join any squad with open space! all you need is the permission of the Squad Leader to join! Additionally, a Squad leader may request a player to join his squad.

Ranking

=SL= Squad Leader: The highest Honor. To become a squad leader, you must take a test administered by an officer, or demonstrate exemplary loyalty and dedication. The test however, is entirely up to the administer and should be reasonably difficult. only officers may administer this test.

=S= Soldier: this rank is a little complicated. If you are in a squad you are a soldier, but your =SL= may choose to assign you a custom rank based on your performance or fighting style. Custom ranks can be silly, or serious, but never offensive.

=U= This U stands for many "uns," but mostly stands for "Unused". Being =U= does not mean you have more or less authority than another soldier, but it does mean you arent in a squad yet. Visit the Catch-A-Squad in the "discussions" tab to join a squad!

|Fayt| is an invite-only clan, but if you would like to join, please feel free to leave a comment, post on our forums, or contact any of our members and ask about being recruited, they'll point you in the right direction.

Howdy y'all, Its time for a Blammajamborie!

this weekend we will have COMPLETELY OPEN RECRUITING! meaning ANYONE WHO IS A MEMBER OF FAYT can invite their friends who play showdown effect to join us as a clan!

=How it MUST be done=

Alright, so for this to be able to happen again, we all need to make sure we don't royally ♥♥♥♥ this up! so here are some steps for getting recruits!

1. Host a server

You want to be hosting a server that displays the clan symbol: |F| and you want to let people know that we're recruiting.

2. in between matches let the group know we are recruiting

just let everyone know we're interested in bringing the Showdown Effect community together.

3. Definitely don't ask people to join - super unprofessional!

Not only does this annoy some people, it is just sort of weak. If people want to join, they will mention it, just be there to tell players we are recruiting.

4. Watch the player who WANTS to join

tell them you'd like to play a match with them before you invite them. During this match, look for several things:

Ping!
-Press tab to look at a players ping. Ping is the number to the right of their name and represents the players connection speed, and latency. You want their ping to be in the 0-250 range. Obviously we can recruit someone regardless of ping, but we want our members to be able to have a positive experience, especially when playing with each other.

Skill!
-Determine their skill level! we recruit people of all skill levels.

most importantly: Attitude

-Make sure the player is not a ♥♥♥♥, basically. If they whine about something being OP all the time, or if they complain, or start flaming, they are a no-go!

Now Lastly, if someone is interested in joining and isnt a ♥♥♥♥, tell them that they must wear the clan tags while in-game. All newly recruited players will wear the tags |F| before the name and =U= after it.

Players will have invitation priviledges untill Monday morning whenever I end up getting out of bed! All you have to do invite a player is add them as a friend,clik on the arrow by their name in the friend list, and click invite to group!

Clearing up confusion concerning squads

I noticed there arent many people joining squads. I don't know if its because its not really that important to anyone, or if people don't know the way to go about it. Its very simple: you want in a squad? ask that =Squad Leader=. you want a =U= in your squad? just ask him/her. theres no waiting around to be picked like in high school gym class, so Gowan git fighting!
