Before you stands perhaps the largest tavern you have ever laid eyes on, dwarfing all nearby buildings and houses. Its sits alone atop a cold gray stone foundation on a seculed isle that almost screams warnings of danger. Yet countless patrons pour into its dark stone framed doorway. Those coming out all seem to be in good health, if listing a bit from partaking in a tad too much drink. Still, the scent of a cooking fire inside occasionally teases your nostrils, as does the warmth rushing out against the cold night’s air to lick your flesh. Laughter can be heard in nearly every direction, despite the shady figures darting in and out of crowds. The road leading to the tavern is plagued with nearly more courtesans than rats, doing their own share of lifting the heavy weight of gold from the taverns guests.

Occasionally an armed guard walks by, but you know that he offers little protection here, and that he is a guest himself, despite his duty. No... true safety here only lies in the good graces of the taverns owners, the Forsaken.
