Hello there everybody, I'm writing here today in order to inform you that the Pixxelcraft Minecraft Skyland Survival Map is almost ready for its primary release, but you may have to wait just a little longer due to some issues that have come up.

First off, I'll give you the good news. The good news is that Jacob123223 and I have almost finished the Pixxelcraft Minecraft Skyland Survival Map, we even got a bit of work done on it earlier today when Jacob was over at my house. We've completed hundreds of thousands, perhaps even millions of blocks worth of content for you to enjoy, so there should be no issues with the size of the world.

We're also planning on supporting the map as updates are required, which means that even after we release the initial map we will continue work on it, which means new content, new plugins, new features, etc will continuously be added, even after the map has been released.

Secondly, I guess I'll talk about some of the problems that we've run into while releasing the map. The first problem that I'll talk about, and perhaps the most important, is that we are not actually sure at this time about how the survival server aspect of Pixxelcraft will be implemented and integrated with the existing server in mind, as we do not currently believe that our current server setup will be able to handle running both worlds at once, and that could also get really confusing on the administration end with plugin installation, maintenance and such.

The solution? I have been working on acquiring a dedicated server for Pixxelcraft, the best part is that it's even at our current host (Pytohost). However, I have run into a bit of an issue. It is going to cost us a ton, at $65 a month. If you've been following me on Twitter or on my personal blog at all then you'll realize that I have been having quite a tough time getting a job where I live, so I don't really have any money to contribute on a monthly basis to that cost, and Jacob is currently saving a bit of money for an international trip that he's going on in the summer, so we're having a bit of an issue getting the money together to pay for this dedicated server that we would like to rent.
