This was mainly just for Katsy, but I think everyone could benefit, because honestly, I have yet to meet someone who's like, "YEAH! I LOVE THIS ♥♥♥♥♥♥' AD AND DIS SEXY LEPRACHAUN!"

I think the directions are pretty self-explanatory, it already has the protect.cfg file that you'll need to put in your ../tf/cfg folder.

If you're still confused, this is the original Steam thread link:

It gives directions on how to do it, and don't forget to put "exec protect.cfg" in your autoexec file!

This might block that plug-in/mod/whatever that lets you listen to musick on some servers, at least it did when I used it. Or I did something wrong :P


ISSUES THAT MIGHT OCCUR

I basically just skimmed the giant thread and found problems/solutions that you might need if any of the below happens.

I don't have an autoexec file!

Create one. Open up Notepad, SaveAs, and name the file autoexec.cfg

One annoying side effect is that the motd opens randomly while playing. My first thought was that because you're blocking the ad plugin from ever receiving that you have closed the motd, it tries to re-open it.

To prevent this you have to fake the fact that you've closed the motd by sending a 'closed_htmlpage' command to the server. Since you've aliased it you need to execute this: 'cmd closed_htmlpage'. The cmd command is there to explicitly send a command to the server without processing it on your client. This appears to have fixed it.
