Steam have recently added what could be a fantastic category to the Accessibility filter 'Playable Without Vision'. I only say could be because I have most of the games on the list and lets say some developers seem to misunderstand what the category is for. At least I hope it is misunderstanding and not an attempt to deceive.
Be careful when considering Idle games in this category, having tried most of them none are truly playable without vision as you need to interact with what is on screen with no form of audible prompt. I assume they feel the category is acceptable because the game can be left running in the background and will for the most part play itself.
I believe this category should be only for games that someone without vision can launch, play and then exit without the assistance of a sighted helper. The good news is a large number of the games are just this.
Keep an eye out for Curator reviews where , once I have played, I will give a clear confirmation as to just how playable the game is without vision.
Let's hope the devs who misinterpret this category correct their error and leave this as an option we can trust.
