When we received word that the United Rift chose to end our agreement no doubt with the backing of the Shade. We sent one in half battle fleets to deal with the problem. After a meeting aboard the Shade flagship, myself and Warmaster Varak went to leave when the Shade leader locks the hanger we are in preventing us from leaving. I ordered the pilot to have the dovin basal rip the hanger door off. Not shortly after that Jederick opened the door but left the shields up. I told him we would accept the treaty so that we could leave. As soon as the shield lowered we returned to the Alak Ross and then to the Vong Formation. Once we were back in the Vong Fleet we opened fire on the Shade Fleet damaging two ships. The Shade quickly ran to hyperspace. The Vong then moved into range of the Rift fleet and began attacking it. The Rift leader moved his fleet to the other side of the planet. A small force of a dozen ships attacked and reduced all shipyards to scrap metal while the rest of the fleet began bombarding the planet from orbit. The Vong fleet then split in to three forces. Two of the forces went around the planet in opposite ways to flank the Rift fleet. When they began to move out the Shade fleet returned and launched 17,500 fighters on a strafing run of the force that remained in reserve against the Rift fleet. These fighters fired three volleys of concussion missiles at 172 Vong ships and the Alak Ross. The vast majority were intercepted by the dovin basals while a few got through and caused some damage to some of the ships. The reserve force of the Vong then moved to ingage the Shade fleet. While that was going on the Rift fleet and 2/3 of the Vong fleet exchanged some fire before the Rift fleet entered hyperspace. The Vong fleet then reformed and moved to envelope the Shade fleet after turning on interdiction fields to ensure they didn't escape. The Vong and Shade fleet exchanged fire for a while before the interdicition fields were shut off. Not long after that occured the Rift fleet returned with additional ships from their other planets. The Vong fleet stopped pursuing the Shade fleet as they had suffered heavy casulities and focused solely on the Rift fleet. The Shade fleet continued to fire on the Vong fleet a while longer and used 10,000 fighters as suicide ships to ram into smaller vong ships from hyperspace causing the loss of 45% of our frigates. The Shade then left the system allowing the Vong to not have to worry about attacks from behind anymore. The Rift and Vong fleets then entered into fullscale battle which lead to the eventual surrounding, surrendering, and destruction of the Rift fleet.
