Hello all! This is our group for the survival game of Space Engineers we are running. Our goal is for this survival game to culminate in an epic capital ship battle in a month. We encourage light PvP outside the starting zones to keep mining more interesting, but it ISN’T our intent to actually hinder the building of anyone’s ship.

The Setting
Two Platforms, twenty asteroids. Light meteor showers. Random cargo ships on. The platforms are off limits for pvp, but anything out more than 1000m from the beacon is free game. Espionage is allowed, but no sabotage. If you get caught at the enemy platform you are fair game for retaliation. Your only option would be to run away.

Some of this is likely to change. It seems like the game is clustering far too many of these asteroids right in the center. We are debating either just turning down the number of asteroids or uploading a map from creative mode with some asteroids place a bit farther out.

The Objective
We set a date about a month in the future and then pit our capital ships against each other. Current target date is November 15th.

Geneva Conventions
No weapons allowed that involve stacking multiple items in an inventory and blowing that up. That includes stone, explosives, etc. Gravity guns and all vanilla weapons are allowed, using a gravity gun to throw a container of explosives is not.

This is envisioned as a battle between two massive ships, not two fleets. We do encourage you to build fighters though. Think carrier ships. Feel free to build additional large ships too, but make sure they can either be stored in your capital ships hangars or are somehow merged to the ship normally. Our reasoning? The teams are only 7v7. We’d rather see complexity built into the ships that require multi-person crews than just a bunch of separate ships with lots of rocket launchers.
