Hi guys George here as usual


As some of you may have heard or seen, our leader Toby has retired from GameToAid.

GameToAid was Toby's idea and it was him that suggested to Brodie to start a group and stream marathons for charity.

Since our first marathon in December 2010 Toby has been the main leader of the group and has lead us well in all of our 7 marathons.

Toby has stated that he feels GTA is in a really good place at the moment and in good hands. But his main reason for retiring is that he would like more time to work on other things, though no one but him could tell you what that includes, my guess is that one of those things would mostly be uni as he is a full time medicine student.

On behalf of myself and all the guys at GTA, I would like to thank Toby for his hard work over the last 3 years, GTA would not have gotten to where it has without him.

So what does this mean for us? Well we are probably going to have a long talk about it very soon but I can confirm that we will be soldiering on without Toby. We actually already have a number of ideas for the next couple of marathons and if you were with us the other day you would have possibly heard Brodie talking about the monthly "Nostalgic Streaming" we plan on doing. More info regarding that coming soon.

In terms of Toby, he has said that he will still be a moderator in the chat and watch our marathons so he will be close by but if you ask me I think that his retirement wont be permanant, if we stay together for a few more years I'm confident that he will re-join. The door will always be open for him.

Also thank you to all who joined the last marathon, we raised $6,113 and passed the $50,000 total raised mark of all our marathons combined.
