What is ‘Ludens’?

The origin of our empire name came from the book ‘♥♥♥♥-Ludens’ by Dutch historian and cultural theorist Johan Huizinga, with the book name translating to 'Playing Man' from Latin.

The book talks about how many of the most important elements of culture, including law, war, philosophy, and art, originate from playing games.

So our name would roughly translate to the ‘Empire of Play’, a place where we can enjoy playing the game of Bitcraft Online while we develop our culture, teamwork and strategies within Ludens together!
