Metalcore is my own personal favorite metal sub-genre. I like others too, but personally I think it is the ultimate evolution of metal music since its inception decades ago. With a perfect blend of speed, hard riffs, screaming vocals, and of course more mainstream friendly and clean catchy choruses. Both hard and melodic, fast and soft, it has something everyone can enjoy, granted you're interested in the overall metal genre in the first place of course.
