In a tip of the hat to players who had wanted to keep the Ragnarok server online for the Boss Encounter/Tek Engrams, I kept the Ragnarok map online as a PvE Extinction server.

Over the past two months, I have reflected on the analytics of the server itself along with its cost efficiency to maintain while providing quality support for all of the other servers. Of the four active servers, it sees the least amount of traffic. And yields the fewest returns.

What prevented me from considering this prior was the inability to provide access to certain tameable animals as well as access to Tek Engrams. However, given recent coding changes in ASM which allow Griffins to be spawned on Scorched Earth, as well as manually unlocking the Tek Sword/Shield/Light for all players, the time has come to say good night to the fourth server.

The Wilds of Ragnarok will be shutting down at the end of February.
