Carrion is a love letter to John Carpenter's "The Thing", but it has elements from Lovecraftian lore and possibly, maybe just a slight nod toward an 80s classic - "The Stuff". It is a beautifully made 2D maze of claustrophobic areas in an underground complex, filled with security personnel and some very scared scientists. Cris Velasco's haunting score really helps set the mood, creating the feeling of an alien horror stalking the halls and assimilating DNA from the various samples in the complex, growing in power and complexity as the game progresses.

Absolutely recommended in my book.
