Saints Row 4 was the first game out of the Saints Row Franchise that I ever played. The way I see it, it appears as a super-powered sandbox game with a higher grade of technology. The game follows a somewhat strong storyline and has some interesting side missions, unlike Saints Row: The Third, where there were no more missions after the story was complete.

Focusing more on the weapons, it seems that Deep Silver Volition went a little bit overboard with the humor of some of the weapons, mainly centering the Dubstep Gun, the Inflato-Ray, and the Plunger Gun. I disliked the Inflato-Ray and the Plunger Gun, but the Dubstep Gun was interesting. To be honest, I kind of wished that DSV (Deep Silver Volition) named the remaining weapons (SMGs, Rifles, Shotguns, etc.) like Saints Row: The Third. I felt I was playing at a more realistic level in those games, and when it came to Saints Row 4, you get names like the "Quickshot Pistol" or the "Pump-Action Shotgun". Not saying that's bad, just a little vague.

One of my favorite features of the game was using former villains as my sidekicks in intense battles like taking out flashpoints or taking down wardens. I loved making rival combinations like Benjamin King and Tanya, Fun Shaundi and DJ Veteran Child, Cyrus Temple and Kinzie (my FAVORITE xDD), but you get what I mean. I also loved the homie conversations that ensued between them as well, but to be honest, I was upset about one thing: I learned on YouTube that unused content included Phillipe Loren of the Syndicate as a homie. If you "spend quality time with Gat", you and Gat encounter a super powered Phillipe Loren to battle. Unlike other enemies like Tanya, Cyrus Temple, and DJ Veteran Child, Loren was not added as a homie. I was disappointed about this because the video I watched also included unused conversations. Which brings me to my final thought on homies. It would have been cool to earn Zinyak himself as a homie, but it would also be unusual for Zinyak to be battling his own army.

Looking at the super power aspect, I thought it wass okay, but what DSV was missing was a way to turn it off. Don't get me wrong, I love blazing across the streets, sending cars into the sky, but sometimes I just wanted to walk around and surprise attack someone by casually running past them.

Overall, I thought the game was pretty well made. In my opinion, the game deserves a 8.5/10
