I wish I could like this game. I really enjoyed the first one.

It seems fun at first, seeing all the cute slimes you remember as well as a few new ones, but it quickly turns to a boring slog as you progress. It is enjoyable at first when you only have a few slimes, but taking care of them just feels like a chore after a while and the automation options are either overpriced or useless. Things like repeatedly returning to areas you have already traversed to collect miscellaneous materials is boring (even with teleporters). Also, the upgrade system is terrible - finding the capsules is extremely annoying and tedious and there is seemingly no rhyme or reason to where they are placed.

I'm not averse to grind-y games, but I don't want to play slime rancher for a grind, I want to hang out with my cute slimes and explore an interesting world. Not to mention the fact that the grind is just unrewarding in it of itself.

It's just disappointing really.

This game has nothing redeemable.

Been playing this game for a little over a year now, loved every minute of it.

Game is fun, but very unstable and buggy, you might have to do some troubleshooting to get it to work, and even then, it may crash or freeze occasionally. Comes with the original, but that doesn't work too well either, buy with caution.

Who knew a game where all you do is walk around and pick stuff up could be so enjoyable. ◕‿◕

This might be the worst game I've ever played in my entire life. I knew this game was bad going in because it has a bit of a reputation, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, this is another level of bad. I blame myself partially because I played this single player, which I would not recommend to anyone because all Sheva is good for is being a glorified pack-mule, and she can barely do that. This is because she will constantly waste items that you intended to use - like using green herbs when you have barely taken any damage. This "game" is as if the Capcom took all of the bad parts of resident evil 4 and made it into one game.

All that being said... the story and cutscenes are absolute perfection. It is egregiously over-the-top, but in the best way.

If you have a friend willing to play with you, I would give it a go.

Great story, kept me constantly saying "wtf is going on" and the gameplay is amazing itself, constantly evolving and changing as you progress.

Great game to play to pass time, easy to get into, but hard to master.

I have owned this game for a few years now, even before it was on steam. I can safely say this is one of my favorites and I would recommend it to anyone who likes the idea of automation and logistics.

I bought the definitive edition so that I could play this game with my friends because apparently the regular one and the definitive edition aren't compatible. Played the game for one day and never played again because we realised the game was trash.
