Beautiful game! loved it!

As a veteran Shmup since the 80's this game displays the old school difficulty of some 80s-90s famous shmups games such as Gradius Twin series , Thunder Force series. It has some nice features as a "level Maker" OST player and much more options to customize your experience with the game.

Totally recomended, if you're a japanese artwork lovers, this game is for you! there's ton of artwork in it based on japanese legedes, also the music is pure gold! a must play capcom game!

higly recomended for those who have never experiencied the joy of owning a sega megadrive (or genesis) console and their games, this is old school fun games! buy it at once!

I highly recommend to watch the movie first before playing this game. It's not that it'll spoil anything...oh you know what, it doesn't matter! play it play it PLAY IT!!! it's simple and addictive, you play it with only 2 buttons, and that's it!!! Its difficulty is ok, it gradually increases , like a classic retro game from the 80's, it's hard enough to make you feel frustrated when you loose, that you want to keep playing it until you get the highest score and want to see it displayed on that leaderboard! I repeat: this game is ADDICTIVE!!! *Thumbs up*

I purchased this game a few weeks ago just because I saw the trailer and the gameplay reminded a lot of Ico for the Ps2, which is one of my fav games of all times. The gameplay of Papo & yo works in a similar way that Ico game, you get into areas, solved a couple of puzzles, turno on switches here and there and that's it. The game is simple, easy to go through and solved the puzzles. Now grafically speaking, the game is just BEAUTIFUL, the environment where the action takes place is just AWESOME, living in South America, in a awesome city with lots of hills and house build on them one above the other kinda feel like the action is taking place in mi city even thoug it's a mix of several architecture cities in South america (Chile, Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia) which makes it more awesome because it's the first time I saw this kind of environment in a game. I should also mention the awesome art/painting in the walls of some buildings, they're incredible, I realized that those painting were actually done by chilean artists and that some with similar designs are painted in huge walls around my city, I just love it!!! As for the game quality, it's all thumbs up, music, art/design of the game no complains here and the story is deep, you can notice that the director put a lot of efforts in telling his own personal story and putting it into the game, lot of emotions, I think you should be a grown up to catch the whole plot to understand it though. The music is also excellent, so much that I decided to get the OST as well. To sum it up, this game is an excellent story telling/puzzle kind of game well worth your money. I t won't be a waste I can assure you that.

Got this game a few days ago and after playing it zillion of years since the last time ( I played it on both video game arcades and NeorageX emulator), I almost forgot how hard this game was, even on easy or normal mode! Dispite the difficulty, MS3 has became a classic side scroller (like Contra) and, I could say that it's very worthy to get the steam version. They included some cool extras and, like I said previously, worth every penny you can spend on it. I trully liked the gallery version and it's always interesting how the concept art of some vehicules and characters made it into the game. One of the best things, is definitely the funny details they put in almost every stage which I find simply hilarious. I had so much fun playing and replaying that I can't get enough of it. I'm now trying to get every achievements and oh boy it's tough! Anyway, I love this game and will praise SNK forever for this franchise. Definitely gonna get MSX!!! If you don't know this franchise, It'll be good to start from MS1 though on second thoughts, you can start playing with whichever you want, doesn't really matter, you'll get fun anyway. TOTALLY WORTH IT PLAYING!!! If you're planing to buy it, for God sake what are you waiting for?! GET IT NOW!!!

Well...this is a great movie....very eye opening about the life of these pro gamers...One thinks that they play non-stop without a worry in the world, we think about them as superhumans that nothing could take them down and the truth is that they are just normal human beings as we are. Maybe their life style is not the greatest as they live for this hobby which they turned it into their daily job and have to struggle agaisnt the pressure of becoming the best player in the world. That's stresful! I really like the indepth vision shown here in competition and got really amazed by how these guys take competitions really seriously specially the chinese teams....they're sick! anyway...great doc film!!

As a fanatic of the sega genesis version, I was hesitating at getting this game, bc I read bad reviews since it was released , but nostalgia beat me and I had to put my hands on it and here's my humble review.

To start off, this game has "+" and "-" and sadly more " - " than "+":

cons:

- The control of mickey is different, but ackward different, it doesn't feel like in the classic version.
- The game is is TOO short! you can easily beat it off in a couple of hours if you rush it up.I managed to beat it off (full achievments complete) in just a few hours, and I'm not even a hardcore player!
- The plot, as usual it's a Disney story, very plain and simple, but they could take advantage of it to create some kind of plot twist to make the game last longer.
- Too damn easy!!! Ok, this could be more a bit of subjetive opinion, but I really found harder the classic version, maybe bc I was a kid back in the 90's and found some parts of the game really frustrating to go through, even though it had the right amount of difficulty to get back at it and make you want to play all over and over again. Although with this one, well is easy, I admit that a the candy dragon boss and mizrabel gave me some tough time but once I figured out their pattern attack, it was easier. Aside from that, there's no real challenge, I think they set the difficulty of this game for nowadays kids as they use to complain for high difficulty in games. This one is a very big con bc I excepted more challenge.

pros:

+ AWESOME music! the BGM and SE of this game are very very good, the old songs are all remasterized and recomposed and they did a good work at updating them with digital music and sounds, this was a bull's eye!
+ Graphics: what can I say? just stunning! they're beautiful, If the original japanese sega crew could have access to nowadays technology to create such graphics back in the 90's , they surely could had came up with something similar to this. The redesign of the levels are very well excecuted as well, they keep the spirit of the original version. Just Bravo!

As a conclusion, I might say that I'm aware that the studio that did this game wanted to keep the spirit of the orinigal COI, and didn't want to change much elements in order to do so, but really, this game could have been a bit longer, with more levels (and bosses). A true shame! but it's still enjoyable and fun to play. If you didn't play the sega genesis version, then go ahead and play! but if you're a fanatic of the classic version like me, you' ll be dessapointing of it when you'll beat it as there's no real challenge.

If you want a real challenge, then you can download a sega genesis emulator along with the COI rom or undust your old sega genesis and original COI and beat it! bc with this one, you won't get any.
