Absolutely a banger of a campaign. They improved on most things about Space Marine, and kept the visuals true to Warhammer 40k, in good respect for the fanbase it was made for...I am a latecomer, many of us are latecomers. It is still THEIR game.

This game captures the epic feel of Warhammer 40k to a great extent.

However, Titus is not supposed to look like Henry Cavill, that is not the face of Titus at all. Henry Cavill doesn't need to randomly show up to replace a character we're used to, a character that belongs to true 40k fans that have been there for all of it, and are just a lot more emotionally invested than the randoms just showing up, skewing demand in the wrong direction. (Plus, who said Ultramarines are the coolest? Green Salamanders are way nicer, and there are stronger forces in the Imperium, let alone the 40k universe.)

I would have also had more missions going into more intriguing environments. There is a lot of mileage left in Tzeench's chaos realm, and in Mechanicus dungeons. Some of the plot characters are absolutely abhorrent, despicable personalities, like that little tool Leandros, who should have been punished severely instead of promoted...People like him, who betray their own side, who accuse without evidence, abuse their power, tear down others who are better than them are why organizations expel people.

The game's engine is too demanding, they should have stuck with the old engine, with some modifications, or gone with Unreal Engine 3, or 4. Those support hundreds of on-screen enemies and they would have allowed for faster development, along with more missions.

9/10, solid gameplay and story but the game needed more development time to fix some clear mistakes, and needed better software.
