I came across Dale and Dawson by accident. Having been a predominantly survival/MMO/Space type of gamer, this was a welcome relief to large guild management at the end of hectic guild wars.

In saying this, I expanded myself from playing with close friends, and opening myself up to the larger internet. I was scared to do this at first, but in many ways, Dale and Dawson is an ultimate social experiment.

I started over 5 weeks ago. A very loyal specialist/slacker/manager, whatever the company needed of me. I was focused on winning the game, for whatever I was assigned at the beginning of the game....Up until...I learned how much fun you could actually have in this game by creating so many different storylines.

Ive been in office "relationships", impregnated and killed by a "savage" AI, found my long lost triplet sisters from the UK, realised my Nanna was still alive and well after 75 years in the US, found embezzling managers, taken over as a fire warden, been a physical instructor, personally been trained by Connor McGregor, implemented 911 emergency evacuation procedures, gotten drunk at the workplace, smoked every type of drug in the bathroom, been lied too, lied too others, been an FBI/DEA agent, been recognised as both the legitimate King of England and Scotland, and so so many more types of story lines.

80 added steam friends later, from all over this beautiful planet of ours, I can whole heartily say that this game, for such a very small investment, is worth every single cent. I've made so many good friends, created so many different RP story lines (some good...some debatable) but at the end of the day, you put in to this game what you take out.

Sure, there are always going to be lobby's that are not for you. It's the world we live in. Racism, bigotry, people thinking that an $8 game is a great place to meet chicks....But if you can get past all that, and find the absolute gems that this community has, then you'll be hooked.

The one man developer has done an amazing job. Generally weekly updates and always listening to feedback. I look forward to the development of the game, as well as possibilities for this type of game being moved in to other environments.
