Bought this DLC during the winter sale for about half-off. I really enjoyed the base game when I played it a while back but had been putting off getting this mini-expansion for a while due to the mixed-negative reception it seemed to be getting. Finally having given it a try in my recent completed playthrough, I can say that despite the amount of content being a bit on the small side, I think it's worth picking up. The two new zones are fun to go through and have more involved platforming challenges than a lot of the base game areas. The three new boss fights (two of which are variations of the same fight) were enjoyable. I thought Mea Culpa being a mixture of various elements of the base game weapons was perhaps a bit underwhelming over getting something entirely unique at first, but it grew on me over the course of the latter half of my playthrough and I thought the mixture of different normally exclusive mechanics on one weapon was fun to be able to mess around with. I don't think this expansion is a must-buy but if you liked the base game and want a little extra on top for a future return I don't think you'd go wrong picking this dlc up.

The addition of the cyborg subfaction has made the bot front borderline unplayable. Getting insta-gibbed by a dozen simultaneous Vox Engines from across the map while a horde of marathon running, unflinching laser pointers are pelting you in the ass at all times is simply not fun.

Cyborg foot soldiers need to be able to be more easily staggered or easier to flee from, and Vox Engines should be treated like Hive Lords where there is a limited number of them per-mission. As it stands getting 2-3 of them every bot-drop is ridiculous for how difficult they are to take out.
