The game is good, but it plays like an early access.
Dune Awakening probably needed another year or two in the oven prior to release, so i cant really reccomend it in its current state at its price point.
They litterally added extra keybinds for exiting vehicles in a post launch patch that still resets each time you quit the game, They make patches that break core functionality that takes weeks to get back. Its not a finished game. Its a beta they are charging full price for.

Its till tons of fun tho. but if your considering purchasing, i would wait 6 months to a year so they can exit the beta stage

Context
This is my take on the new "necromancer ascendancy for POE2 released with dawn of the hunt.
The game itself is fine, but:
Id like to say, that my favourite class in any game is necromancer.
Theres nothing like the powertrip of having a massive undead armada at my behest doing my bidding.
I want an army of 100's of undead roaming under my control!
POE2 before dawn of the hunt tickled that fancy. i could have a powerful minion army to do my bidding and i was aware that a new powerful necromancer class was in the works. GREAT!

Then dawn of the hunt came.
90% nerf to minion builds. now you have to button mash 200 skills and The lich is out but....

This is a Tech demo, an EARLY EARLY alpha build! Its a slice of what is to come

I am enjoying it, but my pc cant handle it, i will have to upgrade as i am cpu bottlenecked on a ryzen 7 5700X3D on builds that work fairly well in SE1. Im also frequently RAM bottlenecked during copy pasting large creations even with 32GB of RAM, It will easily eat 27GB during complex operations and start churining at your SSD when you cap your RAM.

The game currently in its current state is performing worse than SE1, likely due to my cpu capping at 100% in bigger builds. so i cant give a fair assesment of it as of now.

This game will require a lot from your computer it is HUNGRY for hardware, so you likely need to upgrade your specs if your not already on a fairly high specced system from recent generations. If you want enjoy this alpha at peak performance.

To be clear, it runs fine with simple creations even with my specs with a mix of high low settings:
Ryzen 7 5700X3D
32GB RAM
RTX 2060 Super
Usually hovering above 60 FPS on full HD with occasional dips

I quite look forward to future progress, and getting my hardware upgraded.

On steam's store page, it still says 3. party account is required. Store hasn't been updated to correct the wording in three months

Until we see real change, these are still just mere words from the enemy.

My review stays negative until real change is proven, not just written on social media.

Wasnt planning on ever making a review, its a decent bit of a fun game, but the Epic gamelauncher update can go s*ck a d*ck. Id request a refund for changing the terms of conditions post purchase if i could even be bothered

Also, a coop campain wouldhave turned this game from a Meh... to a hell yes

Bought this DLC to pay homage to the devs for giving me 3500 hours of gameplay & counting.
