Excellent game. Now all Funcom has to do is not listen to the people whinging about PvP. This game needs more forced PvP, not less.

Edit: A week or so after I posted this initially, they screwed up the PvP area. Imagine my shock. At least give us a full PvP server choice.

DarkRP with purpose. Very enjoyable.

Unironically the best game I've played in years.

It's been a long time since I've spent 2.5 hours in something and felt like I've got so little out of it as this.

Is good.

Originally written at 30 hours of gameplay. Still holds true at about 3000.

One of those games where all the reasons you should like it are the same reasons you may dislike it.
The same systems that inherently incentivize player interaction, discovery, atypical character progression/goals/motivation, also by their very nature breed conflict and enmity.
Different people may describe the same encounter as both "I was hunted by a gang of bandits because I snuck into their territory to gather plants" and "I was griefed again and there was nothing I could do".

The game includes, among other things:

• Full-loot PvP pretty much everywhere
  
• A combat system that (mostly) emphasizes player skill over gear/level
  
• The choice to be just as insufferable or saint-like as you can muster
  
• A complex, and somewhat "unsolved" meta. Most builds are viable in some way
  
• Forced first-person perspective
  
• Varied PvE encounters
  
• Deep crafting system
  
• Territory control
  
• VOIP ranging from cheeky banter, to Eastern Europeans with a shallow vocabulary, most of which would get them banned from Twitch.

If you need a TL;DR here's one:
It's a bit like playing Dark Messiah of Might and Magic in the Old School Runescape Wilderness while sometimes being chased down by Polish PK gangs from Tibia online.

Ikkje verdt det med mindre du får det på salg. Har kun 9 minispel. Utan å prøve for hardt kan eg koma på minst 18 til som var i originalen, som uteblir her.
Ikkje so mykje å klage på når det gjeld det som faktisk er der.
Hadde lett betalt fullpris for ein enkel port av originalen, men 400kr for detta her vert for drygt.

I had major stability issues at the start, but after going through the small checklist of easy fixes I haven't crashed in two days.

Edit 4 years later: It did not continue that way.

Removed the most visceral and intriguing element of the experience. Can't behave like that.

Epic Games befouls yet another good game with their grubby mitts.
