Ava [Field Medic]
Ava
United Kingdom (Great Britain)
Nowadays a medic in Arma and more offline than online :)
Retired Space Engineers modder and professional surgery test dummy.
If I disappear, the cancer treatment stopped working - so long, and thank you for your support!

To those who find I'm/was AWG from the SE community: No more updates or fixes for Space Engineers anymore, I couldn't go on forever....
6 years of service and proud though!
You're free to use my old stuff - make it creative. Try to add any easter egg regarding me if you can though, like a purple/rainbow engineer (purple helmet) in the thumbnail or a lil thank you for the models/code/whatever you use <3. I loved/love y'all and you gave me purpose through the hardest thing I'd ever gone through, even the motivation to see it through to this day.
A quarter of my life was spent on that project - it meant so much to me and I am so grateful for the community helping me become who I am now :)

Though I no longer work on modding - if for some strange reason you would like to send $£$ my way, either for helping pay for the myriad costs of being at the end of my life/living with terminal cancer, enjoying something in a game and wanting to throw a fiver because apparently people do that with like, ko-fi, or whatever else, here are my still active-sort-of links for that stuff.

And please; big thanks to Lee, Alpha-5, Mattler, GiftedLion, RedPanda/RandaPed, Zomb3yKiller, Weasel, Quantum, Shallows, Noah/Ruahidri(sp) , and many many more I could not fit if I wanted to keep this somewhat concise for your love, support or information over the years, if not simply just help when I needed something sorted, sent, planned out, or workshopped <3.

Technicals;
USN: Ava on here, Avast-Anti-Virus (Avast Anti-Titan on Origin/EA)
.awg on Discord - no point in contacting me if I don't already know who you are

Ava [Field/Combat Medic] for Arma Reforger

Reforger Medic Advice (Vanilla)[/u]

Medium blast wounds, several bleeds E.G via RPG or frag:
Tourniquets (TQ) first - patients bleed out quicker than you'd think when wounds pile up! Since TQs slow bleeding, it can be manageable for the patient to return fire, though 1-on-1 squad-covered situations are preferred - HP/Blood act as separate 'health bars', morph is a slow +hp buff to body health, and wound health. In case of these injuries happening during engagements, morph injected as TQs added before you bandage 4x over may work to get the 'timer' started early helping quick recovery. (E.G leg wounds will get you killed when a sniper is watching...) Saline is your call - make sure to check with your patient on their blood levels (colour-coded icon top-right of soldier, inventory screen)

Heavy blast wounds from a mortar, mine, or A2G rocket:
Simpler but can be much scarier. Saving someone from a medium range mine or mortar blast is almost impossible but not totally, as you will need to know the exact buttons for your inventory set up and have saline to hand. (Remember to add it to your hotbar!)
1st - TQs to give a chance to slow down the chance of death to the huge blood loss that comes with multiple large frag/pressure injuries
2nd - Saline to backfill as the patient loses blood; it sounds silly to add as they lose but if they're right on the edge, the order of saline or TQ/Bandage decides a trip to the reaper or not. The rate of blood loss can be stunning.
Two medics - Effectively required to retain any semblance of a squad if you aren't planning on just saving one person.
3rd - Bandage ASAP to halt blood loss. THIS TAKES A WHILE.
4th - Morphine comes later, slow health recovery ironically is useless here, as you are either dying, dead, or entirely not dead; it is for once the patient is stable.
