Hard to put a yes or no on this. There are a lot of cool stuff it does well but it feels like they did not go too in depth with it. I lean towards no because I think it needs a lot more time in the oven. I will still play from time to time as I love civ, but it just is not like a wow situation like I had with Civ 4 5 and 6.

A developer who actually cares and seemingly plays the game themselves is rare, but this game has that. From start to finish the personality from the devs shine through, and there is no stone left unturned. This takes me back to being a kid and playing some of my favorite games before our corporate capitalist overlords sucked the fun out of gaming. Honestly a breath of fresh air and the best money I have spent on a video game in a very very long time.

Buy it if you are okay with a game that has more work that needs to be done to it, but overall is still a fun experience with many hours of content to enjoy.

First and foremost this game is fun. Second and second most this game is most definitely early access. I understand the negative reviews saying they do not recommend the game, but I also think it is a little bit unfair. I would recommend this game, but not if you are looking for content that is as packed in as the sims 4. If you enjoyed the sims 4 on release or even the sims 4 base game then I think this game exceeds that already in its current state. There is a lot of fun stuff to do beyond just designing your zoi or home. There is a lot of the groundwork laid out for some awesome stuff, but the options are few.

For example:
Jobs - You can work at some places but some jobs are still "rabbit holes". Also its not as detailed as I think it will be in the future even for the jobs you physically attend.

AI - Pretty smart overall but they do some silly stuff like vacuuming the grass, weird randomly sitting/standing while doing social interactions, or just not looking in the right direction when socializing.

Time passing - overall great, but sometimes you wanna get that 30x speed (or even more) but are not able to get 30x outside of specific times.

Cars - Suck. Not fun.

Locations - Not enough or detailed enough.

etc.

There are more negatives to talk about, but so many more positives that I am too lazy to go into. Plus all of these negatives have ZERO to do with the game, and rather just a lack of development that is most definitely ongoing. I am also understanding that they have made this much progress in only 2 years. They started development in early 2023. So if they have been able to lay this big of a foundation, and still make it a very enjoyable experience, plus deliver more than the sims 4 did in it's first few years then I think this is worth taking a chance on.

Dev's may not always listen to the community, and the game may be awful but I have not had this much fun in very many video games. Would recommended anyone who enjoys scary games and PVP to play. High learning curve if you wanna get good.
