I went searching through the "psychological horror" tag and found this game.

I don't normally go in for a literal gambling game, but the roguelite elements convinced me to give it a try. It's been said elsewhere more eloquently but it's a a great satire against the inhumanity one suffers through when in the midst of a gambling addiction.

The gameplay is, unsurprisingly, addicting. I got my money's worth out of it shortly after earning my golden slot machine knob. It's a game that feels deliberately unpolished visually for the sake of tonal and thematic consistency.

Good game, don't play it for longer than a weekend or two. I don't think anyone at Panik Arcade wants the players to become addicted to the game that shows how ugly gambling addiction can feel. I managed Ascension and now feel completely content to let the game remain finished.

Great job, Panik Arcade. Great game, great message, great execution.
