☢️ Fallout: New Vegas ☢️

I originally played New Vegas on Xbox 360 and completed all achievements including its DLCs back then. Now revisiting it, I have to say: despite being INCREDIBLE and still holding up in gameplay and story, this game desperately needs a remaster, like Oblivion got.

✨ The Great

  • Story & Characters – Absolutely memorable. Characters like Veronica and Raul still stand out and are beloved today.
  • Moments & Companions – Deep, engaging companion system without ever feeling burdensome; some moments are legendary.
  • DLCs – All expansions complement and build on the base game. A benchmark for how DLCs should be done.
  • Gameplay – Age aside, the mechanics are still solid and enjoyable.
  • Music – Mixes tracks from Fallout 1 & 2 with original compositions, perfectly capturing the post-apocalyptic western vibe.

⚠️ The Not So Great

  • Radio – Not bad, but can feel repetitive over time; on PC, some bugs in certain languages cut songs or repeat tracks.
  • Bugs – Even at launch, the game needed fixes, especially on PC, while console versions ran smoother.
  • Graphics – The visuals are dated, and although the vibe works, it’s time for a polish/remaster.

💬 Verdict

Aside from a few minor flaws, Fallout: New Vegas is a must-play. Its story is phenomenal even today, and it cemented the "West Coast arc" of the series, while Fallout 1, 2, and NV form a legendary trilogy. If you’re a fan of the series, you can’t miss it.
