Spend 10 minutes planning all possible options and finally come up with attack plan for greatest chance to succeed.
Miss 3 shots that had 90% to hit or better.
Aliens crit every shot on their turn.

That's XCOM, Baby!

As far as adventure games go, this is on the better half. A strong opening, an interesting mystery, creepy atmosphere, great art design and a generally strong story go a long way.

The games major downsides are Chapter 3 (Fetch Quest Central) and an ending that feels rushed and designed to set up a sequel, which does lower my opinion of the game, but it still is overall pretty good.

There are moments of greatness and comedy gold within this game, though they are few and far between. Far too often the game goes for the obvious joke, much to the detriment of the game. But when this game hits a good part, it is good. There is talent here, just not on display enough for me to recommend this game.

Great game for people who love thinking, being a smartass, and wearing fancy hats.
