With the 'Next-gen' update making the game near unplayable and requiring mods to downgrade it back into a playable state I stopped playing FO4, now, we have an "anniversary edition" re-release of the game that does nothing but FIX the problems they introduced with the next-gen update, to add insult to injury, they have the audacity to charge people who already own the game $40 to upgrade to this "new" edition.

I'll ignore the creation club content, because I don't count that as having any value whatsoever. But this is just Bathesda continuing to prove they don't know what they hell they are doing. Re-releasing skyrim so many times, they've now turned their eyes to Fallout after the success of the remaster of Oblivion -- which I might add doesnt really stand up on its own despite it partially being something great.

Do not buy this unless its on a super sale. Not worth the asking price.

KCD2 was an absolute joy to play from start to finish. There was plenty of side content to mess about with between main story beats, and I felt engaged throughout the whole of my playtime. Enough so that at the end, during the post game, there isn't a whole lot left for me to do. There are a few times where I got annoyed, but not because there was something bad or wrong with the game, but more that the game replaced my gear, with gear that was lesser than what I was already wearing. Outside of circumstances that make sense such as the tournament when your required to use their gear, but in a few story moments where they give you new gear and auto equip it all. It was annoying because despite having 3 loadout slots to switch between gear, they always just replace what you are actively using. Tolerable most of the time because you have plenty of time to reequip yourself before your put into a situation where it matters, the most annoying time is of course at the final mission where the gear they give you is not only worse than what I had been using, but not even a full gear set, and they immediately put you into combat, so you not only have had your gear swapped on you, you cannot even change it out until the encounter is over.

But that's all for the negatives. In reality, in all other aspects. Kingdom Come Deliverence 2 is a wakeup call for studios like bathesda. in how an open world single player RPG should be handled. It's not perfect, there are a few bugs, and glitches. Hopfully will be squashed in time. But the story telling, the exploration, the combat, especially the combat. Everything just feels good. Voice acting, while the oerall cast is a little lacking in number of actors, and there is a fair amount of recycled faces in the world, the world still feels alive, lived in, and real. While KCD2 is not a fantasy setting, and is mainly a historically inspired peice of fiction. It's an amazing work story telling that we just have not been getting enough of in the industry. What BG3 did, KCD2 is doing just as well, though while KCD2 has a specific story to tell in a more rigid sense, there is still freedom and space to make some of your own choices, that change the outcome of events.

I can not wait to see what comes next. Weather it's more of Henry of Skalitz's adventures, or a whole new story alltogether, Warhorse has really shown they are incredibly capable of delivering an engaging, amazing, must play experience.

First Impressions, It's a good foundation. I went out of my way to just destroy as much crap as possible to make the new destruction and debris systems work extra hard, and while it's a little stuttery on my aging hardware, it held up surprisingly well. Theres only so much you can do with a debug gun, and no explosives, but crashing ships into asterids and other ships was pretty satisfying. The singular grid building system is great and I can see some seriously amazing ship designs coming out of this even with the fairly limited building blocks that are availible here at launch. I'm picking this up now because I was a big fan of Space Engineers and want to support the devs in bringing a more advanced survival crafting space game to the world. It's going to be nice being able to just build, and not need to focus on small vs large grid not needing to work about janky subgridding just to add some facet or another in a large ship that needs to be built using small parts. and just being able to build it as you see it in your mind is going to be awesome. The sample world has a lot of great examples of builds and it looks like it's going to be a real promising expansion of what the original Space engineers brought us.

Had this downloaded for quite a time before actually jumping in. Glad I finally took the plunge. This is what a 'Metaverse' really is, A world where anything you can think of can become a reality if your willing to make it. I've spent time meeting new and fun people, Met and saw the workshop of one who built an entire theme park and got to ride some of the rides they made, lot's of fun, definitely recommend sitting down if your going to ride VR roller coasters lol, Such a blast though.

People I've met so far are really welcoming and incredibly helpful when welcoming new folks. It's only really been a week, and the software overall has a long ways to go, mainly in the performance department. There's a lot that is CPU bound that really needs to be offloaded to the GPU, but the developers are working hard and updates, even minor ones, are freequent and it's Improved.

Right now it's best in less populated instances, but they are working hard to make sure larger gatherings can be a better experience. The Dev team, moderation team, and others involved are all constantly communicating with the community, with regular streams to cover what they are working on and how they are handling problems when they arise. It's been great keeping up with it over the last year, and even better now that I finally dived in.

The experience is best if you have a VR Headset, but even if you do not, you can join in flat mode. But overall the experience is what you make of it. You have the freedom to just come in, import or use a publically availible avatar, customize it to your liking and socialize like in other Social Apps, Or dive in deeper and learn how the tools to make things work, and learn Protoflux the in world node based visual programming language that makes things function. :D

Hope to see more people give it a chance, and join in with the community.

Cash grab BS aside because certain leaders can't stop throwing money away on random side projects like crypto and EVs, This should have been free for ASE owners, but more egregious than that is how poorly optimized this game still is. I get I don't have a $1900 RTX4090 so setting everything to ultra isnt in my expectations, but how is this so unoptimized that setting everything to low putting dlss to ultra performance and I still have to use console commands to disable or lower settings that are not even availible in the settings menu to get a playable framerate? ASE was pretty bad with optimization, but that only ever became a real issue when there was too much stuff built in an area, not just when trying to run the game normally. On low ASE would run just fine on an old laptop with integrated graphics. But this struggles to run without spending time looking up console commands to drop rendering features on a desktop with an i9 and a 2080 super. And because of that the game actually looks WORSE than Survival Evolved. I just want to ride cool dinos man.
