Before getting into this game, you need to check two things:
1. Are you a Meduka Meguca fan?
2. Do you care about gameplay, rather than story?

While most of the main story is a retelling of the anime, there's still a bit that's "new" from events - especially for those who haven't played MagiReco, since it was locked behind JP/NA.
Because of that, most of the fun comes from beating harder stages and, mainly, bosses, which can get pretty challenging and satisfying to clear in the end-


The game seems to be slowly getting better. The 2.0 update is actually decent, but after beating Nightmare Mode, there still isn't much to do.

Gacha, as of recently, has become a bit more appealing. The last two gachas had 5% rates instead of 3%, and the latest limited having bonus random 5-star key at 50 pulls, with a guaranteed one - including featured meguca - at 100.
Hopefully, they'll keep this direction going, as it makes pulling feel a little less of a suffering.
Yet, with the actual pull income still *extremely* low, saving for megucas you like - only to have them turn out worse than 1.0 characters - is really disappointing...

Crystalis slightly improves upon that, getting upgrades for weaker characters is definitely lots of fun. (Yachiyo or Sayaka actually feel nice to use now~)

Aside from that, it's still mostly just waiting for new stages, tower or score attack events to release, as crystalis farming is just longer dailies-

Being Meguca is still suffering, but maybe a little less...?

Lack of dedicated servers makes it basically unplayable for me online due to "Strict NAT" and "UPnP malfunctioning"

I've tried every kind of router setting, I'm done.

Oh, also, it's pretty boring usually.

Absolutely amazing level design that made me really love the game, great immersive atmosphere and overly fun with a friend - you most likely won't even notice when a few hours have passed.

While the game seems to be advertised to be played with many people, from my experience, it's best played with only one friend. I feel like having more than one person would ruin the immersion as a lot of the game is story and location based, having multiple people may result in you either missing out on some locations or story moments, or being generally more focused on chatting with friends than immersing yourself in the game, ruining one of the best aspects of the game in my opinion, at least.

After 1.0, and even before that, the game has a ton of content - it took me 150 hours to beat it with my sister, and we still want more...
Even just re-doing portal words to get resources, or chilling in your home base is fun in a way.

While night time is still not scary, upgrades for weapons come too late making them obsolete, and farming is overpowered, it doesn't really matter much as the game is really really fun anyway~

I really dislike the recent gameplay & balance changes, lack of the other two maps, terrible optimisation in menu, as well as many other pointless changes like not letting you see your teammates' loadout in real time during a match due to the UI rework...

Yet, it's still pretty much the only game giving this kind of experience, and I hate it-

Stinky.
