The Witcher 2 once again, and heavily, reminds the player that you are holding a stick with both ends are dipped in to ♥♥♥♥. And it is not just a simple one. This ♥♥♥♥ moves towards the center too. No matter what you do, no matter how you react to the events, you will feel like ♥♥♥♥. The game almost ignores how you reacted in the first game. The elves don't care if you helped them in the first game, and they look down on you, and turn %100 evil. The royalty doesn't care if you saved their asses from a Military Coup, and accussess you of murder. Unironically, the characters that are looked down by others in this game, such as cowards and Trolls, have the heart warming endings. I am not talking about the characters that experience racism. That's a whole another story, and Floatsam deserved to burn in to the ground. Don't @ me.

There is a Troll quest early on the game. He is essentially a drunk bodyguard who is not doing his job anymore and taxes the tresspassers. The player talks with villagers, and one side says he needs to die, and the other says just make him stop drinking. Then the player can either simply kill the Troll and loot decent rewards, or hear this Troll out, and offer help with his problems. When you kill him, you will feel like a monster, strong, but a monsters nontheless, and when you do help him, you will want to burn down Floatsam yourself. I couldn't bring myself out to kill the Trolls I met along the way, (3 in total, Roche's path), and I was rewarded with friendship, good armor, and knowing that I did a good thing.
