A sour little soul, growing bitter and bitter.
He scoffed from his perch with a smug little grin,
Taking the mick just to feel he could win.
He mocked worn-out coats and the clink of small change,
Found poverty funny—yeah, cruel and strange.
He laughed at the cracks in a weathered old shoe,
As if hardship were something folks chose to go through.
But the thing about Mark, though he sneered and he jeered,
Was the silence inside him—cold, empty, and weird.
For kindness costs nothing, yet he couldn’t afford
The simple humanity he constantly ignored.
And while he made jokes at the poor and the meek,
It was Mark who looked smallest by the end of the week—
For wealth isn’t gold, nor a punchline that lands,
But the way that you treat other lives with your hands.
