Really sad that I have to do this, was genuinely excited to play the game after being a huge fan of the original and watching multiple YT videos of people playing the new update.

The game just doesn't work for the most part, I spent almost an hour searching for matches and usually found one within about 2-3 minutes, but was never able to connect. The error reads "Failed to connect to host". My internet is generally quite good and I have no issues on any other game.

I also noticed that my PC which is spec'd inbetween the min-recommended so I lowered the settings to Medium, regardless the game runs atrociously when you first load in (After the longest loading screens of your life even on a power 1gbs SSD)

Just disappointing that it's in this state even in early access, i understand it's in Early access but as they are at the point of doing content updates, it seems like mechanics and networking are in the final state.

I will purchase this game again if they fix the core issues and if the player count increases, I'm hoping this does happen. But at the moment, just watch people play it on YouTube, you'll have a better time that way.

It's amazing, it really is but it's as a time hole. Unless if you have watched a streamer play for 60 hours, you are likely going into this game and going to sink a lot of hours into it for it to mean very little, so I recommend staying away for now.

I say this because while the game is amazing, but it's going to get better and that's when you should buy it (hopefully the dev doesn't pull a battlebit remastered)

Reasoning:

The game is an endless loop of the same thing, you face no real threat, you don't need to utilise 2/3's of the features the game has and eventually it just becomes a big cheese fest of doing the same thing and abusing the same mechanics. Eventually you realise that nothing is going to happen, there is nothing to strive for and you can keep going until the end of time for absolutely no change.

The drugs, the drugs in the game have heaps of depth but are most are pointless, going through the extensive effort to create mixes and supply those to customers is outweighed heavily by how easy it is to move the base kush in higher quantities.
- Having people get sick of certain drugs,
- Request new mixes for order that you have to make and discover for high price
- Customers need broader effects and more indepth requirements

The police, they don't do anything like at all. They have decent mechanics when you are wanted but after your 3rd chase it just becomes the same thing, hide in the same spot on the map until your wanted is down and then eventually you don't even become wanted because the cops are on set paths and you just avoid them subconsciously.
- More police
- Raids
- Helicopters
- Random events like customers snitching
- Make police treat everyone like the player

Cheese mechanics, as soon as you learn the mechanics you can abuse you end up just doing the exact same routine daily. Burns out quick. Would be great to the see the cheese mechanics ironed out.
- Specifically late night dealing
- Golden Skateboard
- Cheesy hiding spots

Vehicles, vehicles are pointless, the golden skateboard is way to fast to warrant using a vehicle and if you do use a vehicle the map is too small/tight to warrant taking it out. The only application I have found for the Veeper is for setting up a new base which was once.
- Having some sort of benefit for vehicles would be great, maybe additions to the map which require a vehicle to travel to, even if it's just a loading screen which depending on which car you have takes more/less time out of the day?.
- Making vehicles have much more storage capacity or having the ability to upgrade vehicles
- Add a race track/minigame
- Make skateboarding have a risk involved (Hit a curb and come flying off)
- Add bikes
- Allow dealers to use vehicles

Customers, customer progression is a race to the bottom. Produce the most amount of weed for the lowest unit price to sell and eventually hit the customers soft limit. No risk involved.
- Would love to see customers become more in-depth,
- Have different patterns and potentially more unique personalities.
- Dynamic drug trends would be great.
- Competing dealers offering better deals
- Changing loyalty depending on deals made, offers and quality of drug.
- Add a pickup option & delivery fee. Maybe even use the deaddrops

Dealers, dealers are great fun to just load up and wait for the cash to flow in but it feels they have no inherent downside or risk.
- Having dealers have dynamic mechanics like stealing from you,
- Getting caught by police and needing bail depending on how much they were carrying,
- Requesting higher pay
- Becoming rival dealers
- Joining rival gangs
- Snitching (With mechanics like customers telling you they saw the dealer talking to feds)
- Dealer loyalty, more loyalty = less snitching, less stealing etc.
- Allow deals you receive to be transferred to a dealer.

Businesses, another mechanic that feels cheese. Making business more interactive and require maintenance would be good.
- Drug front, selling over the counter. The business could be a stagnant dealer you can direct customers to for basic orders.
- Employees that need pay
- Laundering costs money (20% off the top is the Ozark methodology for cleaning)
- Make business actually require your attention

Suppliers should be more interactive. The more you move a specific drugs, the more expensive the resources get for that drug. Will make the late game more interesting.
- Should apply to all components.
- Suppliers should be angry about debts, sending people after you. Dynamic events could occur if you don't pay your debt off quick enough.

Rival Cartels/Dealers
- More rival dealers, stealing customers, sending threats, attacking bases, drive by shootings, muggings. Endless possibilities with this.
- Make the guns/melee weapons useful. It should be a genuinely risky thing to not carry a firearm and make the guns more expensive.
- Add a new supplier to provide with more guns.
- Make it so you can buy soldiers/protection who you can equip with weapons to protect bases and fight police/cops/muggers.

Banks, the game has a bank you should be able to utilise to take loans, move cash and invest money.

The map, the map should be much bigger or more regions should be added. I watched the live stream and am aware that the map is being expanded but realistically the map needs much more. I've been able to get from one end of the map to the other in about 10 seconds abusing the golden skateboard and while fun, it should take much more calculation to get around.

Botanists, Chemists, Handlers. Should be dynamic.
- Think of GTA V heist mechanics, hire more expensive employees with better skillsets.
- Lower quality meth cooks are slower and higher chance of blowing up your lab. Vice Versa.
- Lower quality handlers move slower, pack slower.
- Fix the 3 units in a jar thing that makes them stop working. They should just put it back on the shelf and grab the next 5-20 stack
- Make botanists have skill levels for growing higher quality, handle more pots, work quicker etc.
- Make cleaners have the same as above.

End-game, make some sort of end-game. Maybe buying homes and being able to renovate them. Buy a mansion for $1,000,000 and have a furniture shop you can buy stuff from. Add more sports cars that you can race, add more things to do with the money in general.

Again, this game is great. But do not burn yourself out in it's current state. It's amazing and it's empty, imagine how good it'll be when it's in its best state. I'd hold off til then.

Incredibly fun gameplay loop. Feels true to the universe and modernises/enhances on almost ever feature. Downside would be the shortness of the store but definitely worth playing.

This game came out of the box working and the developers still felt the need to improve it. Never will you find a more enjoyable, content packed shooter with a caring dev team like this one.

Above is my review from release, game is now abandoned and devs did a complete character change and ruined the game. Unfortunate as this game was very good and is now nothing. GG.

This game sucks. Bottom line.

If your game allows a player to encounter 3 IDENTICAL bases in a row without a single piece of lore signifance, you have major underlying issues.

Half of the game is just a UI juggle and loading screens, characters are boring and no where near as engaging as even Fallout 4. 1500 planets? Somehow 1500 "planets" with less engaing content than Fallout 3. Combat is incredibly boring, ship combat is boring and often times just a visual mess and boring, ship building is a core feature and just buggy as can be.

Installed Genesis, made the game slightly more enjoyable. But under no circumstances buy this game in order to play Genesis.

This game just sucks.

Good game, let's you create your own personal game if you're fine with offline play & experimenting with mods.

One of the most rewarding and punishing games I've ever played. 10/10 would run into an mg42 again.

One of my favourite games of all time, amazing story, shooting is extremely rewarding and fun, offers a bunch of variety in play styles and has the 2 best lead characters I've played as.
