An absolute masterpiece, clever (and frankly revolting) mechanics with a great social statement. Iconic, over the top, senseless cynical violence. (AKA what the media has believed gaming is like for the past 20 years) I love the way RWS gave all morals the middle finger and went through to create such an amazing experience with a powerful message presented in a very misunderstood format like videogames (especially for the early '00s). If you love super violent FPSs, play Postal 2. If you hate them, play it as well. It's worth it even as a historical referent.

(Also the shears are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome)

Hahaha Husk Cannon go Brrrrrrrr. Perfect to play alone or with friends after a stressful day to relieve homicidal urges.

Distance is one of those games that you fall in love with at first sight. It's visually appealing, extraordinarily immersive and quite challenging at times. I enjoyed the simple story and the music was really good at maintaining the atmosphere. However, while in some instances I praise the fast paced gameplay, most of the time it's detrimental to the experience. There's just no room for the slightest error or delay specially when using the thrusters and jumping. And god, we need to talk about the thrusters. They make the game almost unbearably frustrating to the player, repeating the same short segment over and over again. More than once I found myself playing just to get over with it. Also, gravity is an utter mess. With so many twists, flips and jumps is painfully difficult to react in time and know how gravity is affecting the car. Success becomes a matter of trial and error. I tried very hard to enjoy the experience despite said flaws and I kinda did. Beating an obstacle I had to repeat 10 times is very satisfying. Perhaps I forced myself to enjoy it because I got the game as an anniversary gift from my significant other, so I might be biased, but either way, I recommend Distance only if you have high tolerance to frustration.
