Up to about the Cold War, game is fine as a WWII combat Arcade. Vehicles additions are great but the gameplay is stale as it has been for nearly a decade with the same objectives. Gaijin's inability to adapt and evolve the game to a more modern standard holds it back from greatness, whether intentional or not.

Unfortunately, Gaijin as a whole is the issue. With very certain double standards and clear biases / favoritism towards Russia, it takes a large community effort to demand change and even then, it's only at the near minimal allowance to even the playing field across all nations.

As an example, Gaijin will accept Russian documentation, with some being dubious such as essentially a propaganda video in regards to speed, towards Russian vehicles but would reject near any NATO + Russian sources in regards to nearly any NATO vehicle to the point of needing to leak classified documents to get changes done to meet the expectations of what War Thunder aims to be:

A realistic representation of military vehicles engaged in warfare

That said, if you seek enjoyment of War Thunder. Stick to the WWII vehicles. Don't bother playing the more modern vehicles.
