I was a big fan of BTD5 and this game added so much more variety to the game with tier 5s, 3 upgrade paths, and heroes. I really like having three paths but only being able to choose two because it makes you think more about what would benefit your lineup of towers.

Heroes are a fun mechanic because you don't need to invest money in them and they still level up to stay relevant among your other towers.

Having the game be 3D makes the map geometry and sightlines matter more, adding more variety to map strategy
