I've legit been waiting for this game ever since I was 9 years old, back in the big '12. As any McMillen game, I still have a lot - a LOT to go through, but so far it is very enjoyable and I definitely enjoy it.

Fun lil game, unique aim mechanic that feels slightly challenging but pretty fair.

Great entry in a great franchise. Resident Evil is the ♥♥♥♥, and this feels like the most RE it has ever been.

You got cool boss transformations, you got spooky big monsters, you got an interesting, friendly and mysterious merchant, you got ATTACHÉ CASE, playing on hardcore makes the game have a 1/2/3 feel because of the ammo management you need to do, but then the great action makes it also feel like 4/5/6. Plus you got the story picking up from 7, so, that's like, 7 Resident Evils in one, and you got a banger plot, you got some really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dope designs, Dimitrescu and her daughters are great, Beneviento has the spookiest section in any RE game, Moreau's section gives me strong RE4/5 vibes and Heisenberg is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ coolest. Man is straight out of Bloodborne with his design, has a super dope weapon and you end up with a [spoilers followed by a rant, oops] hypeass bomb-ass bossfight in a mecha, which, yeah, I know many people will point at and say "That's not Resident Evil!!!", but I feel like that's such an ignorant take considering how much RE has changed over times. It feels like RE, it just doesn't feel like the specific ones you're thinking of. It feels a lot like 5 and 6, which get their fair share of criticism, but they ARE Resident Evil, and RE can be so many things.

Great game, great entry in the RE series and I am now fully hyped for the next installment. I mean, I have ALWAYS been hyped for the next installment in this franchise, but now I am 110% hyped. Up there with RE4 for me, and I don't say that lightly, cause RE4 is like my favorite game of all time. I give it a 10/10, maybe recency bias, maybe RE bias, but I don't give a ♥♥♥♥, I love it.
