I have 3000 hours on this before it hit Steam, its had its ups and downs since I played in 2017, but its definitely up there as one of my all-time favorite games. Its one of the most immersive shooters I've ever played and ruined a lot of other games for me.

Took me a hot minute to figure out and remember DOS commands, but this is a great entry from Mike Klubnika! Makes me wonder if we're hacking into the Tartarus Engine, but my memory is fuzzy on that. Would love to see a fully fleshed out adventure game that takes place in the extended universe he's got going on with all his games.

Very intense in its current state. Its Left 4 Dead but most of the zombies walk. I've seen groups of people get cut off by a shambling horde and have to fend for themselves. Maybe you'll see someone survived and regroup with you at the next objective... maybe you have to go back to do the objective they couldn't do and see their zombified forms...

Being addicted to Tarkov's inventory system I actually like the Radial Weight system they got going on here. You gain XP for your character by collecting supplies, all the supplies are shared and added up to everyone's XP for whoever successfully extracts with them. From there you can choose perks for your character, similar to Hunt Showdown. Once your character dies though, they're gone.

Zombie spawns currently can be annoying but I heard that's being completely reworked so I'm not too worried about that. I've only played the two new maps since the combat rework update, but they've been enjoyable. I like the direction the game is going.

This game is fun, and fresh enough to be its own thing. I love how instead of overtime, you run 1 v 1 duels to the death. You have a card voting system that really does change up the game every round. Ranging from weapon buffs, to flooding the map, to the grim reaper coming to execute injured players. The depth and building can be really fun when you know how to synergize with what was picked. You can see your enemies cards of what they might potentially pick as well and can plan accordingly. The gunplay is tight, your accuracy isn't punished while you're ADS'd and moving, and there's a few movement techs that are fun to interact with. I played the beta and the movement speed has definitely been noticeably slowed down, but honestly hasn't really been an issue after getting used to it.

The main menu is definitely overwhelming, but after awhile you get used to it. You can also tap R on most pages to claim and clear all notifications. The playerbase for the most part has been friendly, definitely ran into a few toxic players. The rep system takes care of them over time.

Overall the game has been a blast even as a solo player.

Its been fun so far. Gunplay feels tight. Skills don't feel overly ridiculous. I wasn't convinced with the whole 'stringify' gimmick... until one demolition match I avoided 3 different mag dumps, and wall ran over someones head to buy the bomb enough time to explode and clutch out the round. Its a fun mechanic once you understand it and incorporate it into your playstyle. Rather than knife out to run faster, you can double jump and glide.

I describe this game as anime Valorant, its a tactical shooter with abilities. Weapons are unique to the agents themselves, there's no buying different classes of weapons. You're free to swap your secondaries ranging from a sword to a flame thrower. (Off the top of my head there's a pistol smg, a deagle, and a shotgun pistol as well) Currently you select two nades and you're locked to them for the whole match (with the exception of Escort). In a future Demolition 2.0 update (this is your standard bomb defuse mode) you'll be able to buy grenades each round like Counter-Strike (thank god).

Regarding the economy, instead of buying weapons (since that's unique to the agents) you're building out your character power. Tweaks to skills that modify how they work, from minor weapon buffs to changing how the skill works. The investments into your skills are persistent for the entire half of the match. (If you're playing Ranked - if you lose first round, I highly suggest refunding whatever upgrade you bought to buy armor for the second round.) There are also what I call skill combos. Each individual upgrade is categorized into three things: Weapon, Skill, & String. Along the bottom of your buy menu you will see combos. Buy the relevant upgrades to satisfy the skill combo to get the buff or mechanic change for your skills. This varies from each agent but can change how your passive, active, and ultimate skills work or buff them. For Awakenings, you can only choose one (you can switch freely if you have enough for the other combo as well), so prioritize the combo for the one you want.

For gamemodes you have a 7 v 7 Team Deathmatch, 3 v 3 v 3 v 3 Team Deathmatch, Escort (Payload), & Demolition (S&D). In a future update we're getting a rework to Demolition, and a casual zombie mode. (I assume it will be like Infection, but would love a zombie escape mode like community CS servers). The Ranked mode is Demolition only.

Finally there are Gacha mechanics & a season pass that are both cosmetic only. I haven't had issues getting Dream Tokens to unlock more waifus - I mean agents. For Season 1 I was able to complete the entire battlepass well before the season ended before even buying it. I regularly see events and the tasks don't take long to do at all (aside from the stringify gliding dailies - I reroll those). You can bang out your dailies pretty quick.

Overall its a fun third person shooter for casual & ranked. Worth a try if you're at all into Counter-Strike/Valorant. Plus the waifus are cute. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This game is pure crack for me.

I love classic roguelikes, and especially one that has many deep systems like this. I love that I summoned a goblin from a scroll and now he's just a sla-- I mean resident that works on my crim powder drug farms.

So far its interesting. There's not much of a tutorial so expect to go in blind figuring things out, but I was having fun doing so. I repaired the door and kept the fridge stocked, and randomly got a fatal error crash wandering the wilderness. While that sucks and I have no idea if the game properly saved, I want to try again soon.

The game reminds me of Kenshi with its freedom. Your movement/controls kind of remind me of V Rising, rather than the RTS movement Kenshi has. Randomly broke into some persons dorm to steal wood to fix my own door. Then even stole some gas when everyone was asleep. No idea how to get my host to take more gas... that stocked fridge is getting its food spoiled... Oh well, man is gonna kick me out in another day anyways. I'm probably just gonna be a hobo selling scrap for food and water, maybe squat in someones dorm while I figure out more of the game. I'm not entirely sure how in-depth building is, but looks like there's enough to at least place stuff around to live.

There's something 'off' about the graphics. I wish there was a way to turn off the motion blur and maybe adjust the depth of field that's going on. There's a bit of a dip in frames when you're moving around. Doesn't seem to be an actual sneak yet that I'm aware of either if that's even a mechanic. Seems like there's multiple factions, though I've only really interacted with one so far. Can't really differentiate anyone. You see some people standing around like guards but they don't look any different than anyone else. It does at least look like people have their own lives and schedules which I like to see. Don't have much to say about combat, I've gotten slumped multiple times. Not sure if there's any stat improvement implemented yet. Getting resources early game seems difficult. Single hatchet consumed on one tree, just for one log, that turns into one plank... pretty rough. I'd imagine you'd be able to make more efficient tools down the line which would be okay, but I don't know how to make containers to store stuff yet.

I'm just in way too early to really understand everything you can actually do so far, but for first impressions its not bad. Anyone curious should probably check out other reviews and gameplay, as I went in completely blind other than it reminds me of Kenshi.

Edit: I played a little more, I crashed two more times randomly. I managed to just squat in some random apartment and claimed it for myself. Person in town liked me enough to teach me how to make a metal chest. You can get better tools, blacksmith was selling an actual hatchet. Its much better at chopping trees down and lasts longer than the makeshift hatchet that honestly doesn't even seem like its worth making. Blacksmith didn't like me too much from previous gas stealing shenanigans he happened to witness... so I broke in at night and "borrowed" a hatchet. I got my own workbench, stove, and a metal chest now, all made from scavenged or stolen parts. The placement of said objects seems somewhat limited. You have to own the place you're trying to place them at, and it has fixed "free" spots you can place. The place also already had a generator and a bed, but I don't have a fridge so I don't have any need to turn on the generator yet... which is now fully topped off with stolen gas. I've disassembled a random fridge, which kind of implies I could take and move it? I don't know how though. If you can't, I really don't see the reason why I would want to repair a random fridge I purposely dismantled at a place I can't claim.

I can't figure out the crashing yet, genuinely just happens randomly. Two times while I was wandering, and once refilling a generator. All I can suggest is to try and sleep often, as sleeping is the only way to save the game. Fun so far (in the sense of figuring things out on my own), but the devs mentioned they want to release an extensive roadmap soon. I'd hold off and see what's to come.
