This game has scratched that itch in my brain that only Wuxia or Xianxia novel and manhwa has scratched.

I really enjoyed the visual, the pixel art is genuinely beautiful (except for one companion lol).

Gameplay is similar to strategy turn-based RPG, with tiles, movement, buffs and debuffs and it can get ridiculous once it gets going. Can be quite grindy, however.

One thing that I might dock it is the fact that everything is so interlinked with each other as one dialogue option is the difference between an outcome 30 hours later, and forgetting one item or companion leads to a different ending all together, which sucks since this game has a lot of ending so getting 100% achievement can be a bit of a pain.

I quite enjoyed the writing however, although some concept can be a bit far for me, especially some of the buddhism or taoist terms, but it has led me to some interesting rabbithole. I do think the Wudang Sect really does not play a lot in terms of the personal character arc of the MC so that can be refined in further games or even another DLC

I really enjoyed this game, and I am happy that I stumbled upon this game. Thanks dev, I hope you guys nail your next project!

Early Access Review
This game scratches the cultivation xianxia itch, and has an incredible amount of things already, even for an early access title.

However, I do wish and hope as the game gets to their full version, for the developer to move away from AI used on the art and music. Otherwise, a great game for a fair price and I will be keeping an eye on this for a while.

An interesting take on turn based rpg, akin to Crypt of the NecroDancer but removing the music and on the beat aspect of movement.

The game essentially boils down to finding synergies between your culture, class, god, items and powers. Can be a really chill game or tense game, depending on your build, as I have beaten the game walking around without attacking the enemy directly and just facetanking everything.

The dopamine you get if you get a run going or figured out a synergy is really unmatched.

10/10, hope the dev keeps on adding more content and work on this game for a long time. Thank you for the hard work!

BALATRO

but in all seriousness:
1. You don't need to have played poker / card game, everything is explained in game and you are given a cheatsheet of hands you can play in the game itself
2. Coming from someone who does not really vibe with roguelike deck-building game (like Slay the Spire), this game is comparatively really easy to pickup, play and build up synergy or strategy on your runs
3. Turn on 4x speed once you are done with a couple of runs, it will save you a massive amount of time

10/10 game

Played an hour at launch and can't go through the starting area due to game-breaking bug. Finished a run when Phantom Liberty got announced, with some minor bugs all around. Currently on Phantom Liberty run and this game is smooth, with only some minor-moderate bugs (e.g. cars or bikes randomly falling and getting damaged when called to clipping out of bounds) in my experience.

The update they did on 2.1 massively revamped the game, giving me a lot of stuff to play and experiment with, and the build diversity is quite fun as well. Even without the Phantom Liberty DLC, I think it's worth it to play, just so we can see the initial vision of the game that was promised, but not met.

While certainly a redemption arc for CD Projekt Red, the initial launch of the game was one of the biggest fumble in gaming history, alongside No Man's Sky and should be a reminder for everyone in the future about the danger of over-hyping and not meeting the expectations of players. However, in it's current state, I can highly recommend this game, as while some of the content are quite repetitive (NCPD Scanner), the gameplay is really fun once your build are starting to come together.

An amazing roguelike, very similar to "Hades" in terms of gameplay, bnut with more skill-based check since you can parry and all. Its fun and in early access so there will be more things to come.

Fun little game thats surprisingly pretty in-depth, however performance issues is present (quite annoying honestly) here since I got the same FPS with high setting (Fullscreen,1920x1080,all high) and low setting (windowed,1366x768,all low). Otherwise a really good game and I cant wait for future updates since this game is full of potential and maybe add modding support :). Consider buying if you want to turn off your brain and burn some time.
