STAY AWAAAY.
I did not play 7h. 30min was enough bs.
1). The controls DURING the tutorial for the wizard thing didnt work, i had to try another character (??) nothing on google, just a make-up keybind nowhere to be found on my mouse.

2). The ONE level i could play (bc all others locked up), and the first of the game after the tutorial, well, its boring empty, theres nothing interesting, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea where to go, empty, mobs too fn easy. And then. The joke. I get to the boss and we get wrecked. Not a chance in hell we could clear it. Twice and that was it. Game needs balancing. 2 years after the release? Which, btw, was botched up.

3). On a 5070 this game is 20fps. For NOTHING. There is nothing visuallly interesting in this game.
Most likely bit mining my GPU (and yours).

80 gigs for this was a waste of memory write cells on my ssd. Refund.

Do you know the definition of insanity?
Somewhow GGG are making the same mistakes they did with POE1.

>> DONT PLAY THIS.
Go play Diablo3.
Or hell, Diablo4, it bs, but, at least, itll respect your time.

Pros:
- The game is beautifull and inspring, really awing. (But you need a nasa computer).
- 90% of bosses are really cool and enjoying (IF and ONLY IF playing a meta build). The other 10% will drive you insane until you get lucky.

Cons:
- (This is supposed to be a strength) There are loots of abilities and ways to mismatch them. But. Only a selected few are useful, and everyone plays the same abilities and 90% of the rest are there to confuse new players and make them stop playing. There is ONE meta and ONE way to play the game. You dont know it? Bam you wasted 40h and have to repeat with a meta.
- Knowing poe1, i went straight for the best meta build.
- And even following the meta on poeninja, I cant finish the campaing, the 'tutorial'. 40h in. Because what. I also need the equipment the meta players have. That take 300s of hours (yah, really) to obtain, if lucky.. because its all rng. Rng in an obscure and convoluted crafting system that requires 5 phds.
- The campaign is the 'tutorial', the real game comes after.
- The campaign . Its too long. Boring. Theres no story to back it up. Nothing. 40h and not done xD
--- And guess what!? I have to repeat this 20 times ? Once for each potential character? No thanks.
- Finishing the campaign is actually impossible, because of the insane difficulty of the trials.
-- 1h30 commitment wasted for bs game mechanics and balancing. Repeat? ♥♥♥♥ no. I already burned all my LUCK getting there. Plus, i cant bc i need a 'key' that drops randomly. And ive only got one in 40h.. soooo....
- There is no progression. The ONE skill you pick in the first 2h is gonna be your end game skill. Nothing will change, nothing will enrich it. Yeah sure, more supports means more dps, but mechanically its the same thing. And this was supposed to be the opposite and the main driving argument for poe2...
- Some bossing mechanics are still obscure af and require you to see a guide. Dying for some bs after ticking a boss for 15min is infuriating.
-- This is so frequent that I dont bother 'discovering' a new boss by myself, i go straight to a guid. Why. Because GGG likely put in a bs obscure mechanic that will waste my 10min ive put in the fight. And mind you, you die in 1-2 hits.
- Some bosses are unbalanced compared to the rest of the level.
- Some bosses are sponges for no reason.
- Drops are ♥♥♥♥. 99% of the stuff is not for your character, and are worth nothing.

Wake up call:
Marketing team, rein in on your game designers, or fire them, srly.
Mind you this is aiming to be a f2p, your business model is selling cosmetics.
You want a lot of ppl to play your game.
Stop catering to the 2% and let everyone one enjoy your game.
The ppl that make the game look easy on twitch, you dont care.
They pay for their stuff, or sorry, their community 'gives' it to them.

Anyway, everyone already complained about the same issues with poe1, and here they are repeating them again. Insanity.

Crashes stopped after the 5-6h of game, after that it was pretty stable.

This game really nails down the feeling of adventure and discovery.
I cannot state that enough.
The combat and monster are equally top tier.
Just with those elements, the game is fun to play.
...And thats important because one shouldnt look for more.
As the story, music, and characters are all... weak.
The story is pointless and broken, it makes no sense, but at least it doesnt bother.
The music is... not there? I dont even remember hearing any ost. Whereas i remember the intro of DA deeply in my veins.
The characters serve their purpose of serving as quest givers, and thats that. I miss the witch from DD1..
No wait, theres the Elf dude that is attaching, and the sphinx, damn she freaks me out. In a good way. And a bad way.

Im happy to say that the game runs smoothly (even on my old hardware) and as no bugs. The game is a bit visually dated, but its not uggly, and sometimes even beautifull.
So Idk anything about the negative reviews that mentioned these.

However. Im part of the ppl that have played Dragons Dogma 1 and see the missed opportunities.
This game could have been so much more. And easy to do so.
But, hey, at least they didnt stumble and make a worth sequel, which seems to be trend these days..
Here's to hoping that they get the recruitment right for DD3.

Well, Blizzard is truly dead.
If you're looking for a good game, look for Path Of Exile. Its free and 1000x times better.
If you've already played POE 2000h (like me) and are looking for something else, dont look here,
there's nothing.

I think there's nothing memorable about the campaign.
Its just a bland open world map with tons of bland villages with only the merchants needed.
The campaign had me going from POI to POI worse than any AssassinsCreed game has.
Its mindless and boring.
The story could be there to make it interesting, but it aint. There are 2-3 powerful moments, but even those dont feel personal as none of the characters have any personality.
I could have rooted for Lilith and her cause, but in the end they pointlessly pervert her to make her be the bad enemy. Donan. Donan dies poked by a static demon on a pillar. How pathetic can that be. Why even? A better would have been by slipping over demon blood and eating is own ass while falling. The Horadrim gives off his head to obtain the location of Lilith.. when they could have used the Eye just like they did before, and will after that. Why.
Poor writing in the attempt of creating insteresting moments, but have the opposite effect.

The story of campaign happen in bland forgetfull places. Theres no trip to hell. No trip to heaven. Like Diablo3 did. Those where great moments. But here they got lazy. Copy paste desert towns and call it a day.

Gameplay wise I've only tried the assassin. 7h in I had finished my build and played the remainig 6h not upgrading a single stat. Why? Because it was pointless. The other upgrades are so minor and useless theyre not worth the time.
Technically I could have more hours of 'fun' with the other 3 characters and a different gameplay. But the campaign is so boring and a sloth that it aint fun to do over again.

Whats the endgame? Same campaign open map with the same 3 activities spammed all around.
No bosses. Just bland mobs to grind through hoping for loot. And they expect us to buy season passes??
Diablo3 had Rifts, this has nothing.

Oh. There are technical problems. Sometimes I've lost 1h of progres for no reason. Once my skill tree just changed. The stats I had assigned were not the ones I had when I left the game. Same with the equipment.

Theres no reason to play this game. Least pay 50eu. That was money wasted. Saddly. And time, more importantly.

There might be one redeeming quality. The game's art style is awesome and well made. Its interesting. If only it'd delve more into the demonic and heaven themes. But the narrative never allows for it.

IDK. So weird.
You'd think that for a 5th iteration they'd get this right. But nah.
> Customization loadouts (weapons) are behind an 8s loading screen that load... a menu. With strictly nothing special in it. On an SSD. How?
> Level Design is a miss. I get lost all the time. There are corners for the sake of corners with nothing to see, just turn right because the devs felt like it.
> Things are HARD to see. Its hard to discern where to go sometimes (so too many times to notice).
> Cutscenes are cool action set pieces, and really the only reason I've pushed to far. But they are very scarce and some dont deliver. The "punch lines" are a miss. Maybe they've used them all before and ran out of ideas?
> Every f*ing Orb pickup opens a popup window reminding that they do. I couldnt care the first time (this info is visible when I spend them) and Im cursing through the 20th time. Another 10s lost every time.
> I bought this on a mistake. I though it was the 4th. I think the 4th was the last good one... or maybe the 3rd?
> AWFULL SCREEN TEARING. Omg I've never seen worse screen tearing.

Seems like a game done by some very skilled technical artists, but lacking in game design and common UX.

Pros:
- Combat is snappy (once you learn theres a dodge, 4h in for me)
- World is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DENSE! So much detail and variety (altho assets and texture seem to repeat, its good looking and just feels the more awesome)
- Voice acting and characters are rich and interistingly awesome!

Cons: (mind boggling and REALLY could have been avoided)
- No run sprint button. Walk speed is VERY slow. And, yeah, ok, the world is so rich in detail and really begging for admiration, but going threw the same places gets inevitably tiresome and frustrating.
- Learning about Dodge 4h while looking in the keybinding settings
- Checkpoints are ASS. Really bad.
- Theres Taxi and Metro systems to fast travel. But they are useless as missions dont tell what 'sector' they're in. And wrong guessing = loading screen.
- RTX graphic options dont do much to me, reflections look odd and are very system demanding.
- I dont know how to read the Map. It's stylish, but it hurts my eyes and doesnt tell me anything.

Recommended, but be wary of the design shortcomings. The fast travel is a game killer and might just force me to stop in 2h.

LOVED the first one and was really hyped for a sequel.
It has to be said that this one has many good things going for it.
If I hadnt played the first one, I might have liked this one.

BUT
IMPORTANT : the zombies are broken; its like this wasnt a zombies game anymore. No zombies = no dying light.

During day time the zombies are non existant. During the night they pressure hard and its fun, but only if you walk on the streets, which isnt as fun.
The human mobs are ok, but boring and repetitive.
The removal of firearms crippled the combat. The melee component was always weak, tho it never bothered in the 1st one as it had its place and use. On its own it destroys the combat.
There are too many inhibitors and fetching them is a pain.
There are too many locked boxes; the mini games is ass and the rewards are ♥♥♥♥: I stopped after the 10th.
Crafting is cool and a welcome addition, however its slow and tedius, so I dont use it.
The traversal is VERY GOOD and it kept me playing when everything else failed (tho there are some minor bugs, nothing too anoying, except when I fell after climbing that big tower for 15 minutes and said ♥♥♥♥ it)
