I really enjoy these cozy type games, and this one is probably my favorite next to Stardew Valley. Fun game play, no combat (the worst part of SDV), good representation, cute events, tons of likable villagers, a cool story, and the stone age vibe is just aces. Reminds me a lot of the prehistoric period time period of Chrono Trigger, but with the familiar farming, fishing, and foraging stuff we are familiar with from similar games. I highly recommend it if you like SDV.

Grateful that I waited so long to play it, because I haven't experienced any of the issues that everyone else did. It's a lot of fun -- great world, nice build diversity, challenging enough that I have to think my way through encounters, but not so hard that I'm not enjoying myself. The world feels really alive, and it has to be one of my favorite open worlds, second perhaps only to Fallout 3 and Assassin's Creed: Origins in that sense. My only gripe is that I wish there were more character build types from the TTRPG included, like more rockerguy and medtech type abilities, for example. I'm enjoying the ♥♥♥♥ out of it, though, and haven't even come close to finishing. Highly recommended.

It started out a nearly unplayable glitchy mess, and the current Fallout 76 is far from a perfectly stable game without issues, but the fun of the game itself, the added events, the exploration, etc, all far outweigh any issues it has. I keep coming back to it, thus the 1000+ hours. I recommend it if you enjoy the franchise and don't mind occasionally socializing with others. There's no text chat and you can mute voice chat so if you want to make it so the only interaction you have with other people is emoting, you can.

I haven't played many visual novel type games, but I absolutely adore this game. It is routinely hilarious and has wonderful characters and is a lot of fun despite the simplicity of the game play. I keep coming back to it and I just love it and it has a WONDERFUL fandom. It's also really nice as an LGBTQIA+ person to see such good representation!

It's grindy and a bit motonous like every other idle game, but it has a lot of style, cool art, and is surprisingly engaging and fun to keep coming back to.

Everything good about retro RPG video games as well as classic pen and paper like Dungeons & Dragons is mixed into one wonderful experience in the form of Knights of Pen and Paper. In the game, you play as a group of friends, getting together to play Dungeons & Dragons. You're not just picking classes, but picking which "real life" person is playing the characters in game. Want grandma to be the paladin on your team? No problem! Think your little brother would be best suited as a stealthy rogue? You can do that too. Although the character creation is as simple as matching an archetype to a class (like Hipster Mage or Pizza Guy Druid), it's pretty fun and gives the game replayability as you want to experiment with different combinations.

The storyline is light, but definitely will bring back memories to anyone who has played Dungeons & Dragons in their lives. You travel through towns like "Journey Village" and battle monsters to save missing kings in a world full of pop culture references. It might be a bit silly if you're looking for a serious RPG, but if you love the classic turn-based battle style of the early Final Fantasy games, you'll at least appreciate the simple awesomeness of the gameplay. It's also hugely accessible and easy to learn for those who've never played that kinda game before.

You'll get the most out of this if you're just a huge RPG fan, because Knights of Pen and Paper relies a lot on nostalgia. Still, it's a really fun RPG that can eat up many hours of your life in a very satisfying way. It's a really good example of what indie game companies are capable of. Oh, and if you complain about the graphics, I have a fist to shake at you.

Excellent. Can't recommend it enough. I finished my first play through and started a second the very next day. Wonderful characters that are every bit as well-developed as any on the show or in the comics. Some I would say are among my favorite in the entire mythos. Game play is perhaps a bit overly straight forward, but as far as game story lines go I really think there hasn't been anything better since the SNES days.
